Polee commits to SJU?
That's what this site says: http://johnnyjungle.com/recruiting/pole ... and-white/
However, the blog post is written by someone who probably got a 400 on his SAT writing section, which means they might not be the most legitimate source. Plus, they have another post saying Dunlap to SJU is a done deal, which I know for a fact is not entirely true.
So I'm a little skeptical that Polee's absolutely gone. This isn't a great sign though.

Well krup is usually good with his info. He goofed on Dunlap, but I'll text him and see what's up.

Same dude "broke the news" of Dunlap's hire as Lavin's second assistant on April 7th... Not sure how accurate the reporting is.

For the record, that was his first incorrect source of data, which isn't too shabby over these last few years. But yeah, I'm not gonna believe it until I see it reported by someone else or an article with some actual quotes. We'll have to wait and see..woundedknees wrote:Same dude "broke the news" of Dunlap's hire as Lavin's second assistant on April 7th... Not sure how accurate the reporting is.

Re: Polee commits to SJU?
It's too late to text my friend. I'll hit him up in the morning. He did tell me that Polee is intrigued with the prospect of playing some of his games in Madison Square Garden and likes the idea of playing in the Big East. St. Johns is located in Queens though which is probably one of the most boring parts of NYC. The public transportation is horrible in Queens, so you need a car. Lavin is pretty much an Ernie Kent clone (great recruiter, mediocre coach), so I wouldn't be surprised if Polee ends up at SJU.
Also, don't be surprised if Dunlap heads to SJU in the next week. I'm pretty sure that Lavin has left an opening for him - and it appears that no one is going to hire him as their head coach.

Ha! You guys quack me up.
OUDuckTK1 is a friend of mine oddly enough. I have no beef with Oregon fans but pretty harsh posts about my site. Sorry to crush your dreams....

As for Queens. St. John's is located within the Jamaica Estates which is a very nice, quiet, and safe area of Queens. The Subway is blocks away from the campus. You can catch the public bus right outside of campus or St. John's runs a free shuttle service to the subway station to all students. To get to MSG in Manhattan its about a 20 min subway ride. Citifield is about 15 min away. I'm not sure you can call any area of NYC boring especially coming from Oregon haha.

I don't mean to be too harsh. You might have a great blog. But I saw one post with a bunch of writing errors and then another post with wrong info. You could see where I became a little skeptical, right?Dave Krupinski wrote:Ha! You guys quack me up.

Wouldn't it help his credibility if he could get Oregon's and TK's name right. When has Oregon ever been OU? Only morons who don't know enough about college sports would call Oregon "OU".

Now that Mops is confirming Polee to SJU, I think we can say that it's safe to say it's true. Too bad we won't have someone with his athleticism on this team. Looks like Heslip is indeed a backup plan now although I would rather have Nared in his place.

Dude, chill. People on the east coast who probably only care about college basketball (since that's what SJ is good at) have no reason to know the proper acronym form of a mediocre team on the other side of the country.greenyellow wrote:Wouldn't it help his credibility if he could get Oregon's and TK's name right. Well that sucks. We'll probably end up with Helsip & Nerod now. Altman did a pretty good just getting Loyd with the short amount of time he's had to recruit.

It's not just college basketball. It still happens with the football team with supposed experts on ESPN making the mistake every now and then.Tray Dub wrote:Dude, chill. Wouldn't be surprised if they are the only ones still being recruited by Altman. If we don't get them, I don't think Altman is going to waste scholarships just to have players on the team. Hopefully Crittle will decide to stay.dthomas=ddixon wrote:Well that sucks. We'll probably end up with Helsip & Nerod now. Re: Polee commits to SJU?
Honestly I never really pay attention to Oregon. If I do I refer to them as Oregon not OU or UO. If I saw OU I think of Oklahoma. However St. John's is commonly referred to as SJU which is St. Joes and we're STJ. I wouldn't call anyone a moron for saying SJU.greenyellow wrote:Wouldn't it help his credibility if he could get Oregon's and TK's name right. When has Oregon ever been OU? Re: Polee commits to SJU?
I'm not sure of what writing errors you speak of and the info wasn't wrong just a little early. Dunlap was all set to come to St. John's then a bunch of things happened but yea he's going to be an assistant for the Red Storm.Tray Dub wrote: I don't mean to be too harsh. Saying someone got a 400 in their SATs isn't meaning to be harsh? haha. really? It's whatever but I'm still calling you out for being a little over the top. Anyways everyone is reporting Polee to St. John's now...I set the world on fire with this.
