I think it depends how we define good/mediocre/etc. L'ville is a tier 3 school, which isn't Ivy League by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not a complete embarrassment like your typical tier 4 school (Northern Arizona, New Mexico, Portland State, UNLV, Southern Miss, Wichita State, UTEP, etc.).uostudent wrote:Really stinks about Sallie. Actually, Louisville is a pretty mediocre school. They just brought in former Michigan football recruit Demar Dorsey who had a 1.9 GPA, who had previously been denied admission due to academics and his prior criminal record.oregontrack wrote:Louisville is a good school. Oregon State, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Old Dominion, St. John's, Temple, Texas Tech, Illinois-Chicago, Ole Miss, West Virginia are all tier 3's. They're all respected institutions of higher learning... with, apparently, giant grey areas when it comes to athletic admissions.
