I know this is really un-PC to say, but there's just not enough Black people in Oregon. Playing from a young age is nice, but studys shows that God seemed to bless African-Americans with far more fast-twitch muscle fibers, and naturally occuring muscle mass... two very important traits in football.

This is true... And I also don't understand why this isn't politically correct. We're so afraid of being insensitive that we turn a blind eye towards empirical data. More people with black skin are great at football than people with white skin. Simple as that.

There are a lot of reasons for this black versus white athlete. I can tell you if you are going to
play D1 football you have to have the heart and the stomach for it. I think that unbringing and
desire have a huge part in a players development. I can tell you that we have a very diverse
set of kids within our pop warner program but my son excells as a RB and LB. He is shorter and
smaller than most players his age but he has something I did not have the desire to be a D! player.
It is all he thinks abouno t playing for the Ducks. My other son he could take it our leave it nothing
wrong with that just not for him.
