Dixon's consolation prize

Post by blackjack17 »

Dixon may have missed out on the Heisman but a Super Bowl ring is pretty nice. I just wish we could have seen him running the Wildcat instead of Willie Parker.

A ring would be nice, but I would want to at least play in the game to feel like I really deserve that ring. There will be plenty more for Dixon when he starts :D (knock on wood)

Dixon could probably write a book on this past year of his life. What a story, and congrats to Dixon for getting that ring.

I wish he would have seen the field, but chances are Leftwich signs elsewhere next year so Dennis should be Big Ben's backup

Just because he didn't play doesn't mean he wasn't a factor in the win. I'm super happy for Dennis Dixon!

I was kind of bummed because I would have like to have seen Arizona win, but because Dixon is on the Steelers team I am not too bummed. It is nice to see him get a ring since his injury prevented him from getting a Heisman and NC! I was hoping if the Steelers were going to win it wasn't going to be a close game, that way there was a possibility of seeing Dixon get a couple of snaps.

Leftwich said since he signed with the Steelers that Dixon has improved 10x from what he was at, so I would expect DD to backup Ben for another 2 yrs than sign somewhere to get a shot at starting.

Nice article on Dixon. I just hope that he gets more of a chance to play next year.

Great to see Dixon get a ring, he deserves something, and he did play pre season I think so he didn't entirely do nothing all season. If he is the back up next season that is great, no shame is backing up Big Ben. On side note, does anybody else thing Ben Rothelisberger runs weird, sorta like he's on a stair master or running through scorpions?

Good article on Dixon, nice to see somebody give him and Oregon the credit they deserve for where he and the program was before his injury last season.

Great for Dixon. I really think he should write a book about his roller coaster last year and a half. He will be a great Starting QB someday.
