Were we really the only team to offer JJ back in the day? Seeing this an the comparable size to Lamichael made me really excited to see LJ play next year.

Hopefully some of the other 3* guys that have flown under the radar that the Ducks have landed, not just at RB but other positions as well produce like JJ did!!!!

Re: Jeremiah
He was Stafon Johnson's backup in highschool so people on saw him play on defense...We were the only placed that wanted him as a running back

Re: Jeremiah
Wasn't a backup to Stafon, as much as they were a terrific 1-2 punch, each getting close to 2000 yards and JJ had more TD's. I am stunned more teams weren't in on his running skills, his vid clips from back then were awesome.pudgejeff wrote:He was Stafon Johnson's backup in highschool so people on saw him play on defense...We were the only placed that wanted him as a running back

Re: Jeremiah
^ Agreed JJ wasn't his backup and the only reason Steffan was rated higher was because of his size and speed...JJ got (alot) faster with us. BTW USC were after JJ big time but they wanted him as a DB and not RB but JJ wanted a guarantee he would get a shot at RB so...we know how that went.
JJ will be missed...

He didn't have any other offers according to scout and rivals.ducksin2010 wrote:http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=1199916

Another reason to appreciate any commit we get. You don't have to be a 5-star recruit with 50 offers to be great.
If we got a commit like JJ now, half this board would be complaining we wasted a scholarship on him..
