What's the max offer?

I honestly never know how max works, broph could probably explain it. But I noticed for resignings, the max started at 7.5-11.25 over 6 years. So I'd assume pretty similar. When I get home, I can sim ahead and do a quick max bid just to see how much it would be.

that 6.75 is the rookie max. Usually the max is 120% of the previous contract.

You can offer Max salary without offering max years though. So if you had a kinda bad player with bird rights it might be smart to sign him to a 1 year max so you have a big expiring contract to match trade offers. Also if you have a good old older player a 2-3 year max might be worth it(like Parish) otherwise a 6-7 year max will kill your team when that contract is still on the books and the player is awful.

MAX CONTRACTS:


1st Year of a Max Contract:
1-4 Years of Experience: 25% of Soft Cap
5-9 Years of Experience: 30% of Soft Cap
10+ Years of Experience: 35% of Soft Cap

If the player was previously on your team, the first year starts at 120% of the last year of his previous contract. This is how gigantic contracts are born. Keep this in mind.

Absolutely yes.

When the rating for the players update every year? After free agency?

After FA training camps happen, changes happen then.

Yes they do. You get one MLE each year. They are worth 4.5 so look for guys that would fall into that type of contract. You won't be able to sign an All-Star but you should get a good 6th man or starter.

Also you can offer up to 12 guys so don't fall in love with one guy and only offer him, have backup plans.

I noticed 7.5 mil starting was for 1-6 years of experience
9 mil for 7-9 years.
and 10.5 for 10+ years.

Are we allowed to extend LLE's?

No

Is there a preseason? Or do we jump right into the regular season?
