Hopefully over the injury bug after being out the better part of the last two seasons.

Sadiq, Johnson and the starting receivers together on the field as a package is crazy

What do the recruitniks say with regard to Johnson committing? Are we still pushing for Max Klare or another highly regarded TE?

I wonder if Harney might move inside. Seems like he and Bedford could both play guard or tackle, while maybe neither is a world beater at either (or World beater, in the case of Isaiah).

Interesting that he used to be at Colorado; I'm guessing he was one of the myriad of cuts Deion made when he got there? If so, it has to be gratifying to be able to make his way back on an even better team.
I think he left Colorado before Deion took over.

Yeah, I'm not sure. This is what one article said:

He has seen a lot with three different transfers and four stops along the way. Harkey saw firsthand how Colorado coach Deion Sanders approached some Buffalo players and whether they fit into his system and culture.

Harkey didn’t and moved on to Texas State where he turned into a very good player. Sanders’ loss is now Oregon’s gain.

Also this:

The first stop of his FBS career was at Colorado, where he played special teams during the 2022 season. However, after the arrival of head coach Deion Sanders, Harkey found himself part of the mass exodus from Boulder. Over 60 players transferred out under Sanders’ new regime, and Harkey, looking for a more fitting opportunity, landed at Texas State.

I think Sadiq starts at Y in 11 sets replacing Ferguson and that Johnson looks like a Herbert replacement to me. I think if the team adds another TE that player might also be someone who they can move around at H and maybe play as a FB replacing walk-on Zach Grace and I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if they did add another TE on the basis that Sadiq and another TE could also be draft eligible guys and the following years Depth Chart is something like Johnson, Ploog, Saleapaga, Kendre Harrison.

If a guy can play Tackle I think you keep them there until you find someone better and let your OT3 play one of the OG spots if necessary.

After 3 years of relatively "short" QBs were about to enter a phase of some taller ones as both Moore and Novosad are at 6'3" and Smith Jr and JKS are both 6'5"+

NCAA just had a Judge tell them to eat $%^& with Diego Pavia arguing that his eligibility shouldn't be up because of his time at a JuCo. Would have massive benefits for JuCo's getting fringe HS players in the belief that after 2 years they could have a full-slate of D1/2 eligibility.

Deion was named head coach of Colorado December 3, 2022. He opened up Spring practices on March 20, 2023 and already had brought in 40 new players by then.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/n ... 506727002/

Harkey entered the portal to leave Colorado over a month later - see this article from 4/24/23:

https://www.on3.com/transfer-portal/new ... er-portal/

Not sure if he was processed, or left of his own accord, but he clearly got a good taste of Deion before leaving, as the articles I referenced above indicated.

So anyway, as I was saying, must be gratifying to come back to a higher-profile team. That, and he avoided the disaster 2023 season at Colorado where the O-line in particular were often thrown under the bus by Coach Prime.

Quack quack. Ducks land Isaiah World. Massive kid with light feet. Sort of reminds me of Conerly before Conerly started playing with more of an edge.

Welp, goodbye Conerly, but not a bad replacement.

Oregon with two of the top 6 OTs in the portal so far. Probably couldn't have gone any better so far.

Yup! Good stuff. Adding World is as ideal as we could ask!
