It just dawned on me that who really screwed up the bracket was Mario, if he and Miami didn’t have that epic collapse then Oregon would’ve played the winner of Tennessee vs Indiana. Mario still haunting Oregon.

No, they were always going to put Ohio State in that spot. You think that was an accident? ESPN was projecting that game well before the final standing were announced. They were not going to allow an Ohio State/ Oregon final.

You think Kiffen is feeling pressure to score extra touchdowns after all the popping off he's been doing? It's an unranked ACC team, Lane. Nobody cares.

Disappointing end to the season for Montana State, losing to NDSU 32-35 in the FCS National Championship game. So next year's game with MSU will be a matchup of 'regular season champs' at the two divisions.

The Mountain West has shown they're interested in North Dakota State University moving up a division. I've never understood this, and think schools like Sam Houston State, James Madison, etc. would be better off winning national championships at the FCS level than being Sun Belt teams. Less media attention, higher costs, losing traditional rivalries and never winning a national championship again with the tradeoff of the 'dream' of becoming Ohio State, more revenue (but way behind the Joneses), and... that's all. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Didn't the Mountain West just add Northern Illinois? I don't think they have to expand for football any longer whereas the Pac 12 still needs at least 1 more football member.

They maybe don't "have to," but there has been plenty of leaks to the media that they're a "want" for the Mountain West.

While on a recruiting trip with my son to Montana, I asked if they had designs on moving up to FBS, since they have the facilities, support, stadium, etc. Their answer was no, because they make more money hosting playoff games vs trying to compete for a bowl game that may not come for a program moving up. Made sense to me.

What about media deal comparisons?

My issue with the argument that there's more money available at the FBS level (which you said may not even be true), costs are absolutely higher with travel, coach salaries, soon player salaries, and so forth, so what does that extra money help you do? It's not helping you win a national championship. Whats the point of making an extra five million in revenue when you have lower profit?

Threw it to Trikweze Bridges, no less! Hoping for the best for Ty at his next stop.
Looks like his next stop will be... at Tulane. As a tight end!

Out of all the position changes for him, tight end would not be the one i would expect.

His build is darn near identical to Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers (both 6'4, Stowers is listed at 235 and Thompson as 224). Stowers was also a highly rated QB out of high school. I wish he would've had this realization sooner because it's going to be hard to get yourself NFL-ready at a new position with only one year of experience, but longer odds have been achieved.

Apparently the flu bug has hit Notre Dame. I love the two B1G teams we beat during the regular season are rewarded with dumb luck and an easy path for losing two games, including to Oregon. College football is stupid.

You all ready for the most boring matchup in the history of the college football semifinals? Anyone willing to go out on a limb and bet that a team will score in double digits?

Congrats to Penn State on scoring 10 points. Consider this game iced.
