In the Gabriel vs Sanders battle this one was a lopsided win for Gabriel, Sanders like in college is adverse to incompletions and got sacked a bunch today.

He loves to wait for the big play to break open, and he's terrible at throwing to spots. He should be getting rid of the ball before the receiver makes their break, instead he waits to see if they're going to be open after.

I only caught the highlights but boy, Sanders looked atrocious. Looks like he wants to play playground football on every play and ends up turning a completion or incompletion into a fumble or 10 yard loss. He's making his draft slide look like it was completely about football, not the off the field stuff.

Taking a 27 yard loss on a sack is probably one of the most telling things about him. He just wants to hold the ball so he can find that big play downfield

But I thought the OLine was the reason for all of his issues at Colorado and that if he had a good Oline he’d be the best QB in college…

In all seriousness, with how Prime threw his Oline under the bus to protect his son, I’m surprised any quality Olineman would want to go play for him.

I love reading comments from salty Shedeur fans talking about how the five drives he led weren't enough of a chance (Dillon had two), how putting him in with players who got cut later was evidence of sabotage in favor of the white QB (What is a pre-season game for again?), and how even the altercation involving Shilo was an intentional set-up to get him cut. The conspiracy theories go on and on. After watching the highlights of his actual performance, I thought the debate would be over, but it appears that no amount of evidence will put a dent in the Sanders campaign. The amount of attention and bluster over a 5th round pick has to be some kind of record.

Forgot to mention Trey Benson as another Duck who finished elsewhere. He's with the Cardinals.

Cleveland trading Pickett to the Raiders for a 6th round pick. That seems like a vote of confidence for DG, especially with old man Flacco still the starter.

He wasn't on the list of Ducks in the NFL above, but Chase Cota just got cut by the Browns.

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/footb ... cleveland/

Other notable cuts:

Traeshon Holden - Cowboys
Brandon Johnson - Eagles
Royce Freeman - Bears
Tysheem Johnson - Bears
Kahlef Hailassie - Vikings
Dontae Manning - Falcons
Jake Hanson - Falcons
Shane Lemieux - Saints
Casey Rogers - Bills
Pharaoh Brown - Dolphins
Bradyn Swinson - Patriots
Thomas Graham Jr - Ravens
Jayson Jones - Ravens
Kam Alexander - Steelers
Patrick Herbert - Jaguars
Jabbar Muhammad - Jaguars
Calvin Throckmorton - Broncos
Trikweze Bridges - Chargers

I assume some of these guys will end up on practice squads, so maybe not out of the NFL yet. Still, a couple of those guys looked like they would make the roster and were a bit of a bummer to read on the list.

Swinson quit on UO and became a bit of a locker room issue. And it sounds like his attitude i s why nfl teams are turned off from him now

Here's the updated list, via Crepea.

https://www.oregonlive.com/nfl/2025/08/ ... sters.html

Making the cut, I'm surprise by Ajani, Dont'e Thornton, DJ James, and Moliki Matavao. The writing was on the wall that Nikko was going to make it, which is awesome.

Missing the cut, I guess I'm surprised Thomas Graham, Shane Lemieux (injuries have really derailed his career), Cal Throckmorton, Jake Hanson (injured), and Justin Hollins (injury). We're seeing a turnover of the guys who might be most associated with the Cristobal era.
