Bryce didn't seem like he had many nice things to say about Miami's new OC (at least compared to the praise he gave Kelly).

Unless the Tennessee visit absolutely blows his socks off, I would be surprised if he didn't choose us. After that interview & all he said about Chip.....things are looking good for us.

I agree, Tennessee is the school that scares me.

He all but wrote off Tennessee before even going there. He said that they told him they would use the USC/Reggie Bush offense and that he doubted they had the players to do that.

He's right. The USC/Reggie Bush offense was Norm Chow's playbook and recruiting influence after many years. Whatever Kiffin does at UT, it will have to be new. AND, even if he were to somehow double UT's rushing production in yards and TD's, it wouldn't be as many as Oregon had last year.

Tenn isn't going to be the problem. If he chooses to visit USC, that is when Oregon is going to have a problem.

Yup duckxing... Other than UO, the school he had a lot of positive things to say about was USC..

After reading Bryce's newest article on Rivals, he sounded like he wasn't to serious about Tennessee.

So scratch my previous comment. Watch out for the trojans.

What I like about this situation is that he is big on getting game to game production and stats. Oregon is the best place for him to do that. No matter how good he is, he will compete for time with 4 other blue chip RBs at USC. Also, He said that he enjoys the small town atmosphere of Eugene. That atmosphere is definately not in LA.

I hate to pose this question because Blount is a proven commodity but does his potential departure help us with Bryce's recruitment? Obviously, I think it could only help. Of course, this is the silver lining, so don't jump all over me.

It can't hurt. He'd be almost guaranteed major playing time if not the starting job. That said, I highly doubt Blount isn't playing next year. This is just a warning from MB for Blount to get his act together. If there was a time to suspend a player now would be it, no real football activity going on right now.

I think this is an interesting Q. Blount is great for BB intially at getting acclimated to D1 ball and he won't be relied on but come the year after if he plays as expected he may want to be the focus and Blount leaving would be a good thing...but for us we may still need that big back as BB is kinda in the middle. So we may have to go JC again considering HS backs generally aren't ready to make the big impact there first year...

Man aren't these good problems to have?

Wow, that was an amazing interview....Gotta feel good about our chances with BB....Would surely be beneficial for him to come here and showcase his talents as the high quality running back that he is...
Snoop did it and left...JJ did it and left...Blount is doin it and will depart..Not to mention all of the predecessors that have graced our field with their presence.
Its time for the future to step up...
The future, could very easily be Bryce Brown.....
Surely hope things swing our way on this one..If would be of gr8 benefit to all parties involved...
Not like we dont have the history of gr8 running backs...

Good question. About a month ago I sent Bryce the following picture of J-Stew since I always thought it was a flattering look at our uniforms, particularly from a running back perspective with a beast like Snoop filling it out. I would like to think that Bryce imagines a similar shot of himself.

Brown sounds like a great kid. That interview made it sound like he won't choose Miami, and Oregon has the best shot. Let's hope it stays that way.
