Buried - This movie is filmed in a box the ENTIRE time. Yet they made it work. Pretty good flick. 7/10
Megamind - Not pixar good, but still an enjoyable animated film. I lol'd a lot. 8/10

Thor: pretty good opener for a new comic book-based character as I wasn't sure how this would translate to being in the same universe as the Iron Man movies. The scenes in Thor's homeworld are just epic looking. Movie drags a bit when he's on Earth, but some scenes are pretty funny. 8/10 as I like comic book character movies.

Captain America: Solid story and effects. Good actors that are believable in their roles, especially Chris Evans, Tommy Lee Jones, and Hugo Weaving. Pacing and plot lack a bit in the second half but good fight scenes more than make up for it. While definitely a set-up for the Avengers movie, it easily stands on it's own and ranks up there with the first Iron Man movie as far as comic book movies go. 8.5/10

Tower Heist: Saw this the other day as there seemed to absolutely nothing else even slightly interesting out. Both my wife and I enjoyed this movie. Not overly great in any one area, such as a great comedy or great action, it was good though in many areas. I'd give it a 6 or 7 out of 10.

Notice the scientist in charge of the project?

Tony Stark/Iron Man's progenitor.

Noticed that and the weapons that HYDRA uses sound similar to Iron Man's weapons.

New Year's Eve - Not as good as Valentine's Day in the chick flick genre, but not too bad either.

Sherlock Holmes 2 - Brilliant 9/10.

Both of these films are so well made. Love it.

I liked Buried too, and for the same reason; they stuck with their premise all the way. 127 Hours kinda fell short IMO there, too many cutaways and flashbacks.

I recently saw the 3 swedish films. dragon, girl who played with fire and girl who kicked the hornet's nest. Larsson certainly emphasizes the point about violence against women but in the Swedish versions, you have no way of picking up on Lisbeth's Autism/Asperger's which I hear was better done in the US version.
