My pancreas just exploded...

Honestly, I try not to read too much on Bryce Brown these days just because it reminds me so much of Pryor. So much conflicting news and so many questions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm dying to know if he'll pick Oregon or not, but I've tried to ignore any Bryce Brown articles or talk outside of C4Q just to keep my sanity.

I was giving this some thought. I mean, I think that Oregon is clearly his best choice just from a football career perspective. And I really don't think that's just homer thought. But, I was trying to think of how the various involved teams stack up in football terms after Oregon.

I actually think that KSU would be a better call for Brown than UT. Mainly because UT is in bad shape in the SEC. They could have every 5* RB in the country and a lot of those SEC defenses will still shut them down if they don't have a line and passing game. The Big 12 has some great programs as well. But, I think there's more room there for Brown to make an impact, even on a KSU.

Anyway, I don't think he will really go to KSU. I just think that it would be a better choice for him than UT.

Those dudes on the 10000 + post multi-thread don't like Ory-Gone folks much, do they?

I've been to Neyland Stadium... It's huge, and definitely impressive, but decibels/fan goes to Autzen Stadium, hands down.

They don't get as many rain days as Eugene, but when it does, there can be as much as 2" in 10 minutes or less... I saw a flash flood in the streets on campus below Neyland wash away a VW Bug after a 5-10 minute downpour in May. @ weeks earlier, there were 18" of snow on the ground.

Fireflies are sorta cute, but the cockroaches are not.

Oregon gets hot, but Tennessee gets downright MUGGY. Left Portland in late May at 40 degrees F, arrived in Knoxville the same day at 85 degrees, and 90% humidity... My wife nearly passed out when she got off the plane. (What time of year do the Ducks play in Knoxville? The weather could be a huge factor.)

Thomson-Boling Arena, where the volunteers play basketball, has a capacity of 24,535. The cheap seat would give a nosebleed to a condor.

Tennessee has an excellent history with their Track program, but the facilities are not even remotely equal to Hayward Field.

Worst of all, the topography and flora reminds one of the area around Corvallis, Oregon!

From a pure stats point. I do not think the majority of intelligent people would argue that his ending college numbers at K-state would be worse than if he went to Tenn. I still say watch out for the blonde girl Lacey. I was also wondering where BB, his friend and Lacey all got those matching orange coats with the adidas emblem. I just can't say I have ever seen a green one like it here, but maybe it is because it is in Nike land.

To be fair, I might be defensive and grouchy too if the Ducks locked Lane Kiffin in as HC with a massive buyout clause.

Their program was once good. It probably will be again some day. But, right now, it's a project. The best RB in the nation would be foolish to gamble on a project, imo.

Heres the deal IMO . . . . if he picks tennessee they are still 3 years away from getting into any kind of major bowl game and thats even a BIG " if " because of the rest of the SEC teams he'll be competing against!! IF he comes to OREGON ( like he should ) he makes us a legitimate shot at taking the the Pac-10 ( even though i still think we have a shot this year without him ). Chip Kelly expects to put up even more points this year than last, which would be crazy awsome and Bryce Brown & Blount would put up some huge #'s along with alot more national TV exposure the DUCKS will get this season. DO THE RIGHT THING BRYCE!!!! Choose ORYGUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tennessee fans on VolNation.com forum (The 10,000 post monster in the closet) repeatedly claimed there were 1000 fans at the UT practice scrimmage BB attended yesterday... According to Rivals.com,

http://rivals100.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=923781

there were roughly 2000 in attendance, comparable to some open practices the Ducks have had. Doesn't seem like many when you consider Neyland seats upwards of 100,000 on game day. (And yes, Tennessee has a much smaller grass practice facility available... Not sure which venue was used.) He acknowledged the crowd several times and left before practice ended. I am not sure why you would travel that far (On your own dime, at that!) to observe the team, and then not stay for the full practice session before leaving...

Evidently fans of pretty much every team are given to hyperbole at times.

On potentialplayers.com it says he was there to see the offense but VolNation is saying he was at the practice for 15 minutes. Their fans are weird.

Just remember... As soon as that LOI is signed and delivered, BB is a lock for somebody!

I wouldn't rule out KState either, as crazy as that sounds...we've always worried about kids staying close to home and that is the closest it gets (and the Big12 north is not that good right now IMO...couple of players and they could at least make the Big12 championship game)

Well last time recruit was saying that we led then right before their public announcement, they said everyone was even, I assumed this was said to generate suspense. Well I was wrong last time. I still feel like Bryce truly wants to go to Oregon, but his family just doesn't want him that far from home, and that far from his brother. I mean he said when he envisions himself in a Duck uniform, it helps him sleep at night. COME ON!

No sources, just per speculation based on recent developements. Brown to KState and Harper is going to transfer there too.

Is Harper really going to be out there for Brown's annoucement? Does that worry anyone else; since i read that it is finals week? That could be really good or really bad for us; good being Brown is a duck or bad being they both decided to go to K-state. This is only speculation from earlier rumors that Harper was home sick and the fact that he would go out there durning finals. ;)

Not happening, sorry. This is a thread about Brown. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that I don't want to hear anything else on Harper leaving.

The thought crossed my mind, but I hardly think Harper would do that to Oregon in such a stunning way. I think him going is better for us, if not negligible.
