Too many ? marks around this team.
Blount(always has the controversy of will have make it academically?)
LMJ(stay healthy?)
Alston and Crenshaw(are they ready to step up into a bigger role?)
I think we already have a RB that might actually be a leg up on Brown. His name is Chris Harper. The kid is big, fast, agile. I hear he is a freak on the basketball court too. Translates to a stellar RB prospect. I am ALL for it. Get the ball into his hands 25 times a game.
Yeah I think that Harper is the missing piece at the RB spot.
I really hope he is moved to RB, he would be our next great power back.

Yes, we will be fine. It still hurts though, especially after continuing to get my hopes up. I never liked Tennessee anyway, so I will continue to root against all of the SEC teams regardless of Brown.

Now I'm going to have to root for UCLA (Can't hope they both lose this time). I hate doing that!

I actually usually root for the Pac-10 teams to win non conference games (especially against SEC opponents). Washington and OSU are probably the only 2 teams I never like to see do good.

i didn't dislike tennessee until kiffin got there. fulmer is so much more of a class act than kiffin will ever be.

At least with Fulmer, he actually won some games before he had any kind of trouble. Kiffin started at Tennessee and got in trouble before his first week was over. Kiffin reminds me of a more brash Pete Carroll, except that Kiffin has never accomplished anything as a coach.

There was Oregon football before Bryce Brown, there will be Oregon football after Bryce Brown.

Oregon football doesn't depend on one player like it used to be. Oregon has recruited enough talent that the team is fairly talented at multiple positions with only 1-2 positions with questionable talent. Except for some depth and experience issues, we really shouldn't be worried. I am fairly confident that Oregon will get 3 good RBs in this coming year's recruiting class along with some other very talented skill players.

Well, I'm officially done listening to any of Mops' BS "insider" info.

Cry about it. If you don't want to listen to his "BS" then don't come on here. Mops wasn't the only one who was wrong. Are you going to go on Rivals & tell their recruiting experts you don't want to hear their BS info?
Mops simply shared what he was hearing & I really appreciate that. If you're so emotionally weak that you can't handle dissapointment then maybe you shouldn't pay attention to recruiting.

No offense greenandyellow. Why would 3 "good" running backs all want to sign in the same class? I hope you are not prescribing to the dribble that was on the tenn board a couple weeks ago. "fewer carries in college would mean a longer life in the nfl" I seem to think these kids want to make their fantasies come true with the crowd roaring behind them. You might find 3 that really believe THEY will be the star no matter what, but eventually at least 1 of them will be proven wrong. It might be hard to get that one to stick around when they could sacrifice a year and go be the star somewhere else.

I do think Chip made a great impression on Bryce though. Looking at the "even if I don't go there" comment I think was Bryce saying it had absolutely nothing to do with Chip. The rest might have been a change of heart, or just keeping up the suspense of the surprise announcement. It is hard to tell, but his respect for Chip is pretty clear to me.

I believe that Oregon will take 3 RBs, just like Mops has previously stated. I don't think that Oregon is such a hard sell to certain recruits. Some will see that Oregon has a history of making multiple RBs work. Some will see this as an opportunity to compete against some really good competition. You have to like recruits who will come despite good depth at their positions. It shows that they are willing to compete at a high level. Plus, Oregon could always just redshirt 1 of them so that they will be broken up in classes. I think that 4 active RBs is good enough for depth, but there should always be at least 5 on the roster just in case of injury. The 3rd RB recruit, who would redshirt, would only be called upon if an injury occurred.

I'm sorry, you are right. I love Ethan as well so we should just add the #1 and #2 running back recruits in next years rivals as well. Oregon is back!
