While I agree with a lot of people about how badly Florida will beat Tennessee this year and also agree that Kiffin is a fool.. I will say this fact is he did a pretty good job recruiting even if we do not like his style his arrogance his foolishness whatever want to call it. They got a lot better recruits than what we did. That can be shown on Rivals orScout either one. I dont think going to see any drastic improvement in Tenn this year but by 2010 when we play them they will have a year under Kiffin and I don't think he will be fired in the first year. Don't attack me for pointing out some facts that are true even though they may sound like giving Kiffin credit.. the only credit he is getting is for having a better recruiting class this year. I still think he is a fool is arrogant and think Florida will put 60 on them in the swamp this year.

Kiffin might be a good recruiter, but the big reason that Tennessee got better recruits than Oregon is because of where they are located on the map and the fact that they play in the SEC.

I'll take it one further and add how he took top recruits from other SEC schools (including Florida and LSU). He'll get curb stomped the first year or two but i wonder once this recruiting class gets older/better.

Go look at the SEC ranking in recruiting. Most of the teams there recruited better than UT. Alabama, LSU, and Georgia rank higher by pure number. However, Florida only got 16 this year and their average star ranking was 3.81 verses 3.51 for UT. Also, UT did nothing to rectify their issue on the line and at quarterback. They got two o-lineman, both 3* (the very least of their quality) and no quarterback. They needed productive talent now at both those positions, either by transfer or JUCO. Kiffin has some tough sledding in my opinion. Apparently he has some great position coaches that may get more bang for their buck. We'll see though.
He is not helping himself out though with his antics. He doesn't want every SEC juggernaut in the conference circling that game on the calender waiting to tee off.

As much as I hate Kiffin, he's doing real well. I could easily see a Neuheisel situation developing, where UT gets good then gets in a ton of trouble because somebody actually punishes Kiffin when he breaks rules.

I wouldn't say that they "got a lot better recruits than we did." The distance between a #10 and a #25 ranked class isn't much, if even accurate, imo.
That said, I agree that Kiffin did a good job recruiting this year. But, I think that they had the advantage of having no track record as a group. Clearly, by comments that have come from their recruits, they were selling things like, "we're going to be the next USC", "we prepare you for the next level", etc. It's easy to sell pie in the sky, resumes at other programs, and potential if you don't have any real-world examples for recruits to look at.
Unless they surprise everyone and win more than 7 games next year, I could see the Kiffin recruiting bubble bursting.

After a couple of mediocre seasons, the line will be "Until now, I've been coaching the last guy's recruits. My recruits are just starting to play - so everybody better watch out."
Charlie Weiss coached a number of poor seasons and was excused with that one. Rich Rod is using it. Wherever once-powerful programs have begun sucking, fans will stick to the that excuse. I think Tennessee continues to recruit fairly well, and its fans grow even more annoying.
Sometimes that excuse can even be used as a backwards insult. Have you heard it said about Les Miles, "Let's see what he can do when he isn't playing with Saban's recruits!"

Hehe. You're right. That's exactly what they will say.
I still think fewer recruits will buy it though. All a coach competing for a recruit with them has to do is tilt his head a little and ask, "do you buy that?"
