NA, he had an article the other day mentioning how right now would seem the best time for NA to take another job.

That wouldn't surprise me TBH.

Isn't Aliotti in his 60's? Seems a little long in the tooth for them to take a chance on.

2nd thing, Cal has always sucked at football, don't know if any coach can build a culture of winning football in berkley. It takes more then just good players to sustain good football, IMO you need the community behind you also. The weirdos around there will never sell out to make Cal more then avg.

What would droski do? According to him, Tedford is the best coach in the Pac.

NA at Cal could be a big recruiting advantage for the Bears, given Allioti's ties in the California prospect community, having attended Pittsburg HS, and UC Davis. IIRC, his brother is a well respected coach at the HS level.

Canzano has a fairly valid point... Allioti has more experience than any DC in America in dealing with Oregon's version of the spread offense. His boys practice against the best, every workout.

I have read nothing that D bag has puked out for a very long time. I wouldnt be surprised to see Cal interview him but think Cal will eventually get someone else. Maybe go after Helfrich(sp)? I mean they already got one OC from Oregon.

Cal will go with a DC IMO, but doubt it's NA. My guess it's Wilcox.

Really? Hasn't the luster worn off a bit on the Wilcox machine? What has he done to show he is head coach material? Seems like a potentially disastrous hire to me.

Three of the last four coaches at Cal (Gilbertson, Holmoe, and Tedford) were college coordinators prior to being hired. With that track record I would expect them to require head coaching experience.

He has beat 2 top 10 teams this year, with avg at best talent. For Cal beating Stanford is a huge thing, and he shut them down.
