Seriously doubt it. The only place I could ever see him going would be UCLA, and to the best of my knowledge, he didn't make a run at that when it opened, so I don't think Cal would be an option for him.

Your most likely right. Just a thought i had.

I kind of doubt Bellotti goes back into coaching at this point. There's been several job openings that you'd think interest him but he's not jumped at any.

UC Davis was supposed to name their new head coach yesterday, and it was widely believed to be Dan Hawkins. They've since announced they are delaying a decision which has the rumor mill speculating that Belloti has shown interest in the job as well. I'd think it'd be a nice fit for him being an alum with low pressure/expectations, a much mellower recruiting cycle etc. I doubt he needs the $ from a high profile gig either.

"Phase 2" doesn't even start until 2029 ("never" in earth time).
