As long as Oregon beats KSU I don't care what the rest of the conference does, it has no bearing on oregons final record standing ranking how they will perceived or how good they should be next year!! Their final ranking and record will be the same regardless of how the rest of the conference does

More like their OSU's OL was a joke since they couldn't protect Vaz. To give up 10 sacks is just putrid.OregonFan4Life wrote:Thanks for repping the Pac-12 UCLA and OSU. 0-2 against the weak Big 12. Really guys? Mora and Riley made themselves look like huge idiots. Vaz is a joke.

I think as long as Oregon and Stanford win their BCS games, then the conference isn't going to look as bad.gofightingducks wrote:As long as Oregon beats KSU I don't care what the rest of the conference does, it has no bearing on oregons final record standing ranking how they will perceived or how good they should be next year!! Re: Alamo Bowl
I know that Storm Woods was out with an injury, but there's absolutely ZERO excuse for not having someone back there to help protect Vaz. Okafor was just teeing off on him!greenyellow wrote:More like their OSU's OL was a joke since they couldn't protect Vaz. That was 100% on Mike Riley. I've always had a lot of respect for what he's accomplished at OSU, but this loss falls squarely on his shoulders.
Dumb, dumb and freakin' dumb!

Ya I'm never worried how the conference does, AS LONG AS OREGON WINS THATS ALL THAT MATTERS. Vaz had a few mistakes but of those 10 sacks 6-7 were cause of the offensive line.

A one loss Alabama was a slam dunk to play for the national championship in large part because they play in a stronger conference. For example, strength of schedule is why an undefeated Boise State didn't play for the NC in 2009.

Nail on the head....I know a lot of you don't understand the whole SEC thing but that is it right there. The way your PAC brethren finish up is going to directly affect your strength of schedule and starting ranking next year. It is always good for you're yearly opponents to win and win big in these games. Hard to argue you "deserve" a spot in the natty if you don't play tough teams. And the way thing are going the PAC is looking bad. People we say, "of course they only have one loss, that conference can't beat anyone."maxduck wrote:gofightingducks wrote:As long as Oregon beats KSU I don't care what the rest of the conference does, it has no bearing on oregons final record standing ranking how they will perceived or how good they should be next year!! ETA: after talking to some big east fans and some big 10 fans , it seems that you all seem to be alone in the conference support/pride thing

And these conferences are a great judge of that - no matter how many of their teams keep changing conference affiliation.

Fair enough...but it seems that they all get the concept of "conference pride" .... I also think many of you get it too, maybe not though...I'm just sayingduck55 wrote:"ETA: after talking to some big east fans and some big 10 fans , it seems that you all seem to be alone in the conference support/pride thing."
