Not a seahawks fan, but good move for them. As a broncos fan I read they might get Revis and Dwight Freeney, which I would like.

Re: Percy Harvin to the seahawks
If Harvin's migraines don't come back and he stays on the field this will be an excellent trade. If the issue comes back and he can't stay healthy then in hindsight it can be called a bust. I don't like giving up next years 3rd rounder though.

3 draft picks right?Duck07 wrote:If Harvin's migraines don't come back and he stays on the field this will be an excellent trade. If the issue comes back and he can't stay healthy then in hindsight it can be called a bust. I don't like giving up next years 3rd rounder though.
1st round 25th pick
and
one of three seventh-round selections and its third-round pick in 2014.

Re: Percy Harvin to the seahawks
Seattle will more then likely get another 7th round pick due to compensatory from the NFL. So really it's a first this year and a 3rd next year, and honestly the money wasn't near what ESPN tried to say of 100mill. Overall both teams did well, and I don't see the migraines being a issue. He stopped eating gluten 2 years ago and they haven't been an issue since then.

Re: Percy Harvin to the seahawks
hawks also just added de cliff avril. that's a fairly huge signing that won't get much notice with all the other deals going down, but avril has 27 sacks and 9 forced fumbles the last 3 years in detroit. seattle needed to add a playmaker on offense and needed to boost their pass rush this offseason, and they've done it within the first few days of free agency.
the draft should be fun, even without a first.

yes, I understand the 1st and 7th but the 3rd was too much imo. The way the draft has evolved has picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds have much more value than they used to. Granted its not like Seattle needs more youth on its team but I still think they could have gotten that deal done without it.OreDucks01284 wrote:3 draft picks right?Duck07 wrote:If Harvin's migraines don't come back and he stays on the field this will be an excellent trade. The Cliff Avril signing was a very nice addition for the Hee-Hawks. Come December Clemons should be fully-healed and that defense is going to look pretty scary, especially if they pick-up a nice nickel cb to push Walter for the job and there are a lot of talented cbs who are going to end up signing for less in a few weeks. (same is true for SF in that regard)

And they just signed Michael Bennett from Tampa Bay for the pass rush. Two of the upper echelon free agent pass rushers for a very modest amount of money. They are doing very well in the offseason.
