In Oregon's offense we basically have two starter spots at RB. The bigger more bruising back who usually is the actual starter who wears down the defense and lulls them to sleep. Then we rotate in the speedster who hides behind the blocks and floats while waiting for that hole and then he bursts forward and catches the defense napping for big gains.

If we land Brown this year he would be that bigger more power type back much like Stewart and Blount. James and Grant would be the Jeremiah Johnson type back. By the time Grant would get to Oregon James would be a Sophomore. I'd like to think Grant would redshirt but he could have a chance to return Kick-Offs and Punt Returns while getting a few snaps here and there. I also wouldnt be shocked to see Kelly use him much like Percy Harvin or James Rodgers on fly sweeps and other types of plays with Grant as a flanker.

Sure but I can show you a very large list of small backs in CB and the Pros that are great...it depends on the player! I will say this you can't teach his athletic ability and 4.3 speed like his kid has! To me he looks like LMJ but faster and hopefully they both turn out to be good ones!
GO DUCKS!! WTD!

5'9 170 as a junior is not that small. Jeremiah Johnson was right around 5'9 180 coming in & I wouldn't say he was a small back. Also this kid was timed at 4.19 & 4.20 as a sophmore at a FSU camp. He has more than legit speed.
