I want Boyd for the pure fact that not only is he a great Qb but some serious talent will probably come to UO with him. As far as Harris goes he is an Oregon commit, he just isn't going to verbal ever but UO will receive his LOI. At least reading some of his quotes that's how he is playing it.

I'd have to say Manti Te'o. He's a STUD linebacker in the vein of Rey Maualuga. We want to keep that pipeline of POLYNESIANS flowing here to OREGON!

Boyd because I think he would bring a few other guys along with him. Plus to win a recruiting battle like we are having with Boyd on a national level would be huge for the program.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Oregon has any chance at him.

It's highly unlikely. It looks like he's leaning toward USC or BYU. I also heard that he's wanting to do his "mission" before he starts his eligibility clock. Which would mean.....BYU! I know that we're STOCKPILED with LB's but man.....he would be a pleasure to watch up close here @ Oregon!

I've said this all along. Cliff Harris. I've been jumped on for saying that and knocking Bryce and Tajh. but bottom line, Cliff is outstanding in COVERAGE. He also gets great burst out of breaks and as seen in the holiday bowl the ducks defensive backs are always with the receiver until the break. Cliff is someone who shuts the curl, out and in routes down. Despite that he will need to add bulk how many pac-10 receivers are Dez Bryant, Michael Crabtree or Juaqiem Englasis? None. Harris has the speed to hold his own against a Will Demps, or Percy Harvin and the coverage to eventually hang with someone who will be the next dez bryant. Bryce Brown would be the most talented player Oregon has ever seen if he commits but harris is vital for a BCS or NC run down the road. Maybe not next year but in two or three years. The pac-10 doesn't have a dominating receiver and I'm fairly certain Harris could hang with more then 75% of pac-10 receivers NEXT year. Boyd is an incredible talent but Thomas is and will be a great qb as well and I'm confident either one could take our offense to even higher heights.

I would say Devin Kennard. I think we are plenty talented on offense. Not that I wouldnt mind getting Bord.. or Brown but I see us needing a great defense to compliment our offense and know with Allow A Lot E we need pure studs to play to have a reasonable chance at having a good defense.

Brown, with the speed he demonstrated at the AA game, he could play any position haha

My choice would be Brown. Even though we've got some depth at RB I think stealing the #1 recruit in the nation away from a traditional power would be another step in making the rest of the country realize what's going on in the northwest and that there's another force to be reckoned with in the Pac 10

I would have to say Bryce Brown. RB isn't the most vital position for us but without BB we look like a 9-10 win team the next few years, with BB we are looking at top 10 next year and top 5 for his next 2-3 years here. Look at Oklahoma's team in Adrian Peterson's Jr year. They weren't all that great other then him but he still led them to a BCS game by himself. He would also be a lock to make it to at least 1 heisman ceremony.

Tajh Boyd.

I hate people saying we don't need Boyd because "Darron Thomas is our QB of the future".

Boyd is 10x the QB at this point than Darron Thomas was. DT was considered an Athlete across the board, and was considered a possible WR switch. Boyd is a Rivals 100 player, top rated QB in all categories, incredibly accurate arm, and just a better overall QB prospect. MVP of the All-America Bowl - Thomas wasn't even invited.

I like Thomas in some aspects but when you look at the tape and how they played, I think Boyd could compete with Thomas RIGHT now just because he is 10x purer a QB coming out of high shcool.

Exactly what I've been saying on here for weeks now. Does USC turn down Matt Barkley because they already have Mitch Mustain and Aaron Corp...Heck NO! You don't turn down a player like that no matter how much depth you have. Doing that leaves with you with Sam Bowie because you already have Clyde Drexler at SG

Saying that Boyd is better than Thomas at this very moment makes no sense. Boyd has never thrown a pass in NCAA football game, Thomas has, and he has done quite well doing so. Boyd would be huge for recruiting from the standpoint that he is a highly ranked recruit and depth at the QB position is paramount. So I say the more quality QBs we have to run CK's offense the better.
