I hope visitors realize this is a freak incident in Oregon summer weather... It was 58 dgrees in Dexter yesterday... That's a 50 degree turnaround from last Thursday!
Shoot, my above ground/unheated swimming pool was 96 degrees last week!

Sure sure how many posters in this thread have actually played football but 70's and cloudy is GREAT practice weather for players.
Also, if anyone thinks that might be too cold for him, try living in Detroit for a winter.

I remember seeing photos of Pryor in a playoff game where there were 3 foot deep piles of snow along the sidelines...

My take is Detroit is grayer and much colder from the lake. If I had to choose between the depression of Flint or the softness of Eugene, Ducks everytime.tonyd wrote:Sure sure how many posters in this thread have actually played football but 70's and cloudy is GREAT practice weather for players.

Here's hoping for a Mathis commit.

No TINFOIL you are fine, just getting a little bent recently becuase to date:
*no one remembers me saying Mathis visit date about three weeks ago
*I got blasted for breaking Lattimore interest who BTW has us in his top 5 now
*Argued consistently with DSA folks about Mathis having an offer that they removed, and now shockingly added back.
Just starts getting old when you break some news and no one believes you because you aren't AJ or Tony. But they've earned the cred, I'll get there, maybe after Keenan Allen commits which I've been calling for weeks I'll earn some "R-E-S-P-E-C-T"

Quit whining. You'll get your respect. It won't happen overnight, though.

Saw Dior and his mom and dad at practice today. Seemed like a great kid and nice family. Mom, of course, was asking all kinds of questions like any mom would. I have a good feeling about this kid - though MSU is a lot closer, so we will just have to wait and see. A lot of Duck players stayed in Eugene and worked hard this summer. I get the sense that this is a very close-knit team. I think this will have a positive impact on Dior and his family. And there isn't a better place to play in America than Autzen. Go Ducks!

I dont' know anything about the Lattimore deal.
I mentioned on here that he was missing an offer in the Rivals DB and you kinda got mad about it but I wasn't arguing with you, just wondering if something had happened. But you proved to be correct on that as well so from what I can see you're 2/2.
If Allen commits you will be 100/3

So what is the word on Dior? Was he and his family staying the whole weekend? Anyone chat him up? They Like what they see?
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

JHop...I personally do not remember the info about Mathis.. but do fully believe you when mention had stated it. I chalk it up to my poor recollection than saying you did not state it. As for the Lattimore thing I do remember you saying had Texted him and such so know was right on that one. I have said before and will continue to say enjoy all the info bring.. even if sometimes I might forget.
I am curious if anyone knows what Mathis though and what his family thought. Somebody mentioned talked to his mom. I had thought she was not coming this trip but am happy she did. What all did she say. Did she sound encouraging. Anyone talk to his dad? I hope we get this guy. He would be a big time land. I know our weather a lot better to play football in.. than Michigan during late fall early winter.
