Thanks. I just saw that injury information on the USC board and was coming over here to post up. Also on the USC board they were cracking up because Urbs waited till Martell signed the dotted line and dropped his buddy before the ink was dry. It's only funny because it's true. Makes me root for the kid a bit more though. I was never a huge fan back before he committed to tOSU.greenyellow wrote:According to this article, it was a knee injury but he also had a broken clavicle that cost him the first 4 games of the season. Also in the article, they mention that Oregon's new staff was one of many schools who've talked to him recently.

This article was more specific and said it was a torn meniscus.

Wouldn't doubt one bit that Urby the scum bag did that to the kid.

Lindsey doesn't fit in the big 10. Oregon or USC IMO.

According to the interview in the 2nd link, recovery was only 4-6 weeks so it doesn't sound like it was too bad of an injury.Sad Sports Fan wrote:oof, meniscus isn't goodgreenyellow wrote:According to this article, it was a knee injury but he also had a broken clavicle that cost him the first 4 games of the season. Meniscus isn't bad, easy scope and back to 100% within 4-6 weeks.

I'd say a meniscus tear is like the hangnail of sports knee injuries. I'm currently getting knee injections for a meniscus injury in October. (Took awhile to get them authorized.)
Willie Taggart is a dick.

I know nothing (no connections) but gut tells me we have a real chance with Lindsey. I highly doubt he ends up at USC. I think Lewis the stud WR they get that's still uncommitted. I think it's down to us and Nebraska, and possibly a few more schools now that he's open. Nebraska has a head start because they've been recruiting him hard for a while, but Taggart can definitely go hard after this kid.

This is the type of speedster we need but if Redd commits and is planning on playing offense I would almost rather get a taller receiver on the books like Thompson but obviously would love to get that Quack regardless.

Plenty of room for both with the attrition!

Don't see the need for Lindsey at UO and frankly hope we don't get involved. We already have two 5'9 WR committed and are in a good spot for Jeff Thomas who is 2x the player Lindsey is. Lindsey lacks any kind of too end burst. We need long outside WR that's where we have a serious depth issue

Re: Tyjon Lindsey decommits
Entirely dependent on type of tear and how they choose to fix it. Meniscus can be season ending with 6+ month recovery if they sew it back together rather than just clipping the torn piece. A guy as young as him and for long term viability of the cartilage, would hope they would sew it rather than clip it.GoDuckYourself wrote:Meniscus isn't bad, easy scope and back to 100% within 4-6 weeks.

I'd be OK with it if we miss on Thomas and pass on Bruce. I don't think McNeal should factor into it because I'm not sure he will ever play. You're right on Thomas though, he stood out in the UA game (or army game, can't remember which). He reached out to DAT on Twitter publicly even though he could have done so privately asking for a text or DM ASAP.

Don't get as good of a feeling with Thomas as I did a couple week ago. I'd bet he ends up staying closer to home. Bet that we end up with Thompson too, so there's your long outside WR.QB11 wrote:Don't see the need for Lindsey at UO and frankly hope we don't get involved. I'm not Lindsey's biggest fan, but he's an interesting prospect. Some compared him to DAT, but he's definitely not as fast or as quick. Do think he's a better overall receiver though, like his body control and his route running seems good.
Frankly, if we get Lindsey, I'd just be happy that it helps open a door into BG.
