It's the latter. He just worded it a bit funny that muddled the meaning if you read it too quickly.

Same. Cristobal will land Ray. And as if a Cristobal offer isn't weight enough, his offer list and AA invite are impressive for 3 star OL. Exciting pick up when it happens.Sir-1 wrote:I'd actually be surprised if we don't flip him. I think with Klemm out, Cristobal will get his man.

Seems like an athletic kid who could play tackle or guard. Not particularly big at 275. I'm leery of UCLA offensive lineman as their line has been atrocious for a number of years, but that shouldn't have any bearing on this kid's potential (I don't think).

Is that due to their recruiting or coaching though? Honest question. Klemm was a great recruiter, supposedly, so were his guys just poorly coached?StevensTechU wrote:Seems like an athletic kid who could play tackle or guard. Not particularly big at 275. No idea. I think his recruiting acumen was overrated, and the results on the field kind of speaks for itself. Perhaps it's possible he wasn't particularly great at either.Duck24 wrote: Is that due to their recruiting or coaching though? Honest question. Is Ray a Guard or a Center? He seems in the mold of Grasu ( I think he grew into his size). I also found this article that talks about Klemm and his release and the existing recruits. It mentions Ray as a Center: http://www.latimes.com/sports/usc/la-sp ... story.html

Watch his film. Kid is good, athletic and has a bit of nastiness. He's a good fit for us.Handsome Dan wrote:i dont want a 3 star guard. we didn't drop $4M on ace recruiters to steal shitty recruits from inferior programs.
:3
(He looks like a good target considering the offer list, but that photo is baaaaaaaad.)
Don't get too caught up in stars. Tate Martell is almost a 5-star and i'll bet the house he plays sparingly if at all at OSU. Stars are often based upon the perceived competition they face. 5 stars certainly have likely more promise but if stars were all that mattered than Dye wouldn't have been Frosh of the year.

Glad to see srsmiley007 back. He certainly evaluated Herbert correctly.

He's an Army AA. He's good. Forget the stars.

I'd say the biggest issue with UCLA's OL is that they've struggled with the injury bug. They just never seem to have their starters together for more than a few games.

Grazi. Glad to be back. Just bolted from DT. It sucks with Justin gone and quite frankly, there's as much or more info here. Why pay for crap!maxduck wrote:Glad to see srsmiley007 back. He certainly evaluated Herbert correctly.

Until he schedules a visit or gets an in-home from Oregon, I'm not sure if we can call him a good candidate to flip.

It's getting worse over there. Trolls are running rampant and there is no insider info anymore. Props to Matt for trying though.srsmiley007 wrote:Grazi. Glad to be back. Just bolted from DT. BUT back to the topic at hand on this thread. I bet Kanan flips to us. AA and Cristobal will work his recruiting skills on him. I rank him better than Jaxson and Shear.
