We should blame it on Russian Hackers then.
I don't have any evidence, you'll have to trust me, but it was definitely Russian hackers.
Also, the rhabdomyolysis thing was Russian hackers. No evidence, but there is a secret report in the HD complex.

Just draw a few loyalists from the millions of Duck fans and litter the streets with discarded signs (Doesn't matter what they say, if noone reads'em!), chanting, "IVAN GO HOME!"
That ought to get the media on our side!
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

What if their veiled political references were set in 1951 and were set antagonistic to creeping McCarthyism? Would you feel good knowing years later that you attempted to drown out sentiment that hindsight proved 100% humane and rational? What if it was 1934 and people were making veiled political references about the coming fascist danger? Would you feel silly given hindsight? I'm just curious. I personally believe the blind, ignorant, and disinterested are the most to blame for both the destruction that exists in the world and people's subjection to malfeasance. As it stands, these veiled political references have to do with a narrative that is being sold to Americans that is dangerous and so far, unsupported by concrete evidence or proof. To ignore it or to try to root out sentiment highlighting this fact is a recipe for disaster. Just my 2 cents.

Uh, this is an internet football message board. Not a sub-Reddit. Lots of places to go for this kind of stuff. A thread about a USC recruit flipping to Oregon makes whatever it is your trying to say seem crazy. At least the other folks were joking around.

My 2 cents, this is Football recruiting forum.
My 2cents, I enjoy reading about Oregon Duck football in the morning with my coffee, not reading some political crap, joking or not. TK has asked that political discussions go in the other topic board this helps me ignore some people's personal agendas.

This is a football forum. There are plenty of other forums for people to go back-and-forth on politics.
If what they were doing was on par with resisting McCarthyism, then I'd personally have no problem with it. But they're not, and acknowledging the intelligence community's (and Trump's) acceptance of Russian interference has zero to do with McCarthyism and everything to do with reality. My personal views aside, it's problematic to talk politics here (even if you agree with what is said) because then that starts to overtake every discussion.
It's better to take a zero-tolerance stance and keep that on other forums/mediums.

Sorry, a joking reference to Russian hackers is not offensive political talk. The politics only start after people start complaining about 'political' talk.

After reading a few post it appears it offended a few.

I realize that but the sensitivity of a few posters isn't going to suck the levity and sense of humor out of the forum.

Oh but it will. Come on man, you've been around long enough to see how the slightest hint of politics in a thread will throw that puppy right off the tracks. This thing will be 11 pages long in no time talking about who is / isn't offended and the original topic will be completely lost. You may as well lock this one up now because the topic at hand is over and now we will just bitch about bitching about politics.
OregonFan4life -
My source just said Chip is officially back!
It will be announced at Autzen press conference tomorrow afternoon!

Instead of continuing to talk about it, people can easily pivot back to being on-topic. I'll do that by saying if Carr canceled his in-home visit with Oregon, then he's not going to be flipping.
