Funny thing about CHL committing now is that he just had an in-home with Utah about 3 hours ago. Looks like that visit was a waste.

Well, that's recruiting. SC or UO staff is gonna waste a lot of time over Falo.

Great get! Love him on defense and think he would be good on offense too.

I watched his tape back when his name first popped up and people were thinking he was going to play running back. I didn't like him as much back then because I think Oregon should get elite running backs, and I just didn't see him in the elite category as a RB. As a defensive prospect, and an athlete who can be used in a lot of ways, I really am glad he's a Duck.

Any good video of him anywhere playing defense? I would be pretty pumped about this kid as a S prospect because I think he bring a good level of athleticism, but if there is any good tape of defense would be nice to see him in coverage. I hope he doesn't end up as a LB though, because he is really small judging by that pic of all the players throwing up the O at the poly bowl. With Slade already slotted as LB I think we can't risk slotting CHL there and planning him there for the future, unless we want a tiny LB core going forward.ifuwant2 wrote:FlDuckFan wrote:Yes! I'd have to look around. I remember a number of plays as a linebacker. Lot of fans don't like taking a kid who is average sized at one position and moving them to a position where they are big. I am. Especially for a player with the athletic skills of CHL. Sure, he's not a straight up DB. But in certain packages, I think he'd be great in coverage and in run support. Plus he's just damn tough. A big safety who hits, is tough, and may not have elite safety speed. I'll take it.akaTheo wrote:Any good video of him anywhere playing defense? Edit: I went and snooped around for defensive highlights. I thought I remembered seeing a tape that was a mix of offensive and defensive highlights. Can't be found on Hudl, so I don't know if he removed them or if I'm mixing him up with another player. Anyways, I found this, which makes me like him more:

He seems like those hybrid LB/S types that are becoming so popular in the NFL.

I like the fact that the Ducks are putting some of their "athletes" on defense. historically this team has been so offense oriented, many of the athletes stayed on the offensive side of the ball CHL shows a change in that approach. Let's see what he can do... He could be a monster combined with Niu. That is a lot of speed and aggression attacking the football.

Better yet, Vavae Malepeai. Point has probably been made but I'm bored and stuck in the hospital...so mehjimmy12 wrote:greenyellow wrote:Funny thing about CHL committing now is that he just had an in-home with Utah about 3 hours ago. Looks like that visit was a waste.
