Possible but it sounds like Falo and his family were big SC fans so it'll be hard to know if Reaves cost the Ducks or not.GrantDuck wrote:Think that dumbass coach Reaves cost us big time here.

Re: Falo to USC
this Fricking sucks! Can't believe we lost him but no TE Coach certainly doesn't help. He's seen nothing but upheaval from us (Osborne, Reave's) but dang,....can't believe we lost another one. Wonder if we can convert Winston to TE.... It's not like we don't have a ton of LB's to fill this out.greenyellow wrote:Possible but it sounds like Falo and his family were big SC fans so it'll be hard to know if Reaves cost the Ducks or not.GrantDuck wrote:Think that dumbass coach Reaves cost us big time here.

It's not the end of the world, but it hurts because he was 'ALL Oregon.' That's cruitin' for ya.
IMO, Artis choosing Baylor felt like more of a dagger.

USC has a pretty strong Poly history as well. Good for him, wish him all the luck.
Plus the girls at USC are hotter than Oregon.

Re: Falo to USC
Lol, USC's TE coach isn't the reason Falo ended up there. Very good history with Polynesian players and they use their tight ends. Imo, Falo was one of Oregon's most important targets. Can't blame the coaching staff here - they went all out for Falo and he decided to go elsewhere.SnobtopusQuack wrote:Like poach USC TE coachpezsez1 wrote:No excuses. Time for WT to #DoSomething.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Someone is going to have to step up. I will say this about Breeland, it didn't appear that they had to alter the playbook when he was in last year.greenyellow wrote:Think Oregon is going to have to find a JC or grad transfer. Otherwise they have to roll with 3 scholarship TEs (with one being a SR converting from LB) and a handful of walk-ons. It's a precarious situation that hopefully won't come back to bite them.GrantDuck wrote:Major Bummer.
Figured something was up when we offered Shear.![]()
We put a ton into that kid and had a complete open TE spot. Will def. have to move some people around to cover it this year.

From where they started and how much time they had, they finished fairly well. Was it what we hoped after all the news and rumors? No, but it's still a solid class that will hopefully produce some results.UofO8 wrote:well this class got average pretty fast

Inexcusable miss by Taggart and company. I thought after the OV they could change Falo's mind but it became clear that wasn't the case in the last few days. Got a good laugh from all the people who were saying that Falo was a done deal. Should help you weed out the impostors for future recruiting news.
I guess on to next year with a bare bones TE unit. Maybe Taggart didn't think Moses Robinson Carr could play, but something tells me he would have been better than an open scholarship.

Re: Falo to USC
If there's one miss or hole in this class, it's definitely at TE. I think missing at the TE position takes this class down from a potential A- to around a B+/B.GoDucksTroll wrote:Inexcusable miss by Taggart and company. Man...I haven't been here long, but you just seem to be always overtly negativeUofO8 wrote:well this class got average pretty fast
This class is fine considering how hard transition classes are on a new staff. Sure, we didn't close like we wanted, but a top 25 class is good. I bet Helf wouldn't have done any better.

The lack of a quality edge rusher is a pretty big miss too. I'd say a B grade at best. Not bad considering the circumstances.greenyellow wrote:If there's one miss or hole in this class, it's definitely at TE. Re: Falo to USC
But really, should that previous staff's theoretical class rankings be used as a barometer? Not trying to be mean, but that isn't all that much to be proud of.DuckedOut wrote:Man...I haven't been here long, but you just seem to be always overtly negativeUofO8 wrote:well this class got average pretty fast
