Great way to ingratiate yourself with guys you’ll be playing with. Even if it is true that WR is a weak spot, there are more tactful ways of saying it.Duckenstein wrote:Looking good! Thanks for postingMerganzer wrote:https://www.sbnation.com/college-footba ... on-florida
“Oregon is way greater chance to play early because of their depth chart. I mean, who do they really have? They don’t have too much. No disrespect to the receivers there, but right now they have nobody who has stepped up to be that guy. The depth chart is open and the coaches are great coaches.”

Lmao this guy must really think highly of himself. I doubt there is a negative impact from this if he commits, though. If anything, it might just inspire other guys to compete harder in practice.Duck24 wrote:Great way to ingratiate yourself with guys you’ll be playing with. Pittman and Ford would be a great way to end the wr recruiting class. Looks like 5 to 6 for the class and some big names still out there to fill the spots.

Comment does not bother me at all.. Just means he will have to come here and back it
up. If he does were better for it. It should send a message to other receivers to step it up.

His comment was similar to Cliff Harris' "here to lock **** down". Cliff used a better approach by not calling out the current players.
It's a fool's errand to expect 17 y/o's to have good judgment. I sure didn't and I learned to have better judgement as a result exercising poor judgement.

Duck Sports Authority posted a QUAAACKTASTIC MONDAY? Then a headline says hearing some strong... the rest if VIP. I'm guessing Pittman will announce tomorrow.

Sounds like his commitment video got made, so only a matter of days I'd imagine.

On Thursday's "Recruiting with Andrew Nemec," 247Sports national recruiting editor Brandon Huffman joined the show to explain the latest rankings, how it changes (or doesn't change) the view of Oregon's recruiting class and predicts who will be the next commitment to the class.
Nemec: "Fill in the blank: Oregon's next commitment will be ____ and he brings ____ to the table."
Huffman: "My money is going to be on (four-star wide receiver) Mycah Pittman, and you know as much as I like (five-star prospect) Kyle Ford as a receiver, I've said in some of the meetings we've had as a recruiting team that I actually like the football player Mycah Pittman just about as much as anybody in Southern California.
He's not as big as his brother Michael Pittman Jr. is. He didn't have the natural height and length that Michael did, but I think Mycah is a better football player than Michael was, who was an All-American. Coming into the USC offense the next couple of years... that's a guy. I've seen dad play in the NFL as well.

Re: Mycah Pittman
Sounds like his decision is delayed until his video is ready. He's tentatively scheduled to appear on Nemec's recruiting show on Thursday but that could still change since Pittman really doesn't like doing interviews and could cancel. On FB, Nemec said it wouldn't surprise him if Pittman possibly even waited until the SNL camp to announce his decision should he choose the Ducks.

Re: Mycah Pittman
Pittman was just on Nemec's recruiting show and he said that on Friday, he'll set the day for when he'll commit to either Florida or Oregon. Based on how he was talking so in-depth about Oregon (could easily have been because he on an Oregon-centric show), I'd be real surprised if he picks Florida over Oregon.

Re: Mycah Pittman
Sounds like he's trying to do something with his family and/or team for some type of big reveal. He has said they have a commitment video in the works but has faced a couple delays so that's probably why he's having to set a date for later.brich75 wrote:Lol wait, now there is a date to set the date?

Re: Mycah Pittman
After Steven Spielberg backed out of the project they must have had a hard time getting Christopher Nolan to do the video. I've heard rumors the Coen brothers may be working on the project now.
I'd bet that Pittman is just waiting until next weekend, trying to make SNL a weekend with some big commits like last year.
