Top recruits absolutely want to play for winning teams. A survey was performed on recruits a few years ago and the number 1 recruit consideration was; they want to play on a winning team.
I get that the blue-bloods can survive a bad season, but that’s because they have a winning program reputations. A loss here or there is not a needle mover. But the level of mess that looks to be emerging for FSU will effect recruiting, assuming it continues or escalates.

My understanding is he wants to be just a 1 gap DE whereas the rest of the schools are asking him to play standup at times which is one thing he will get at fsu

I loved Hines. It was always him against a mob and I tend to find mobs to be wrong more often than not.

To be fair, he was hardly wrong. People were just mad because it wasn't what they wanted to hear and he was a little too harsh in his delivery.

Its not hard to be right 90% of the time when the average success rate for landing recruits was +or- 10%.
