I wrote a comment about this. It is interesting so many rappers kids got into sports.StevensTechU wrote:Anyone else kinda confused by how so many 90s/00s rappers have kids that are D-1 caliber athletes? Eazy E, Snoop, P Diddy, and now Big Boi.
Nate Dogg's son was a 4-star DB that went to Washington, transferred to Montana, and then went to prison for a Xanax ring.
His fellow Regulator's offspring seems to be doing better. Olaijah Griffin was a 2018 5-star DB that wound up at USC.
Diddy's and Big Boi's sons are walk-ons. Snoop was a great WR himself in high school, and is very involved in football with his youth league, so that wasn't as surprising.
A lot of rappers were good athletes. The Game had a basketball scholarship to Wazzu before he got kicked out. Master P had some preseason NBA contracts. 2Chainz and Wale played college basketball. Rick Ross was a scholarship OL at an HBCU.
