Exactly--- read the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. It has a part about advantage of birthdate during development years. The earlier your birthdate, the more developed you are for sports where kids are still developing. Logan should come back and be a Freshman and be the size of a Junior . (which won't matter a ton). It will, however, matter more when he's a senior and 23-24 and fully developed.

That was for Canadian Youth Hockey. Malcolm Gladwell is the most overrated author of our time.

He's not overrated, he's widely known as a charlatan. But on this point, he was just pointing the obvious. Being older helps in youth sports. Of course it does. Not only is that common sense, and it's also been replicated a bunch of times. Gladwell popularized the hockey study, but it's been found in baseball, softball, tennis, basically every sport they've looked into. Here's a study if you're interested.

Logan is coming back i would guess. His parents post a lot about him and his counting days to be a duck

Thanks, Jimmy! I’m always cautious on the mission kids because a lot can change by that time - from both sides. When you do get one back, you’re getting a guy that’s two years into adulthood. When BYU was actually good they were able to trot out an OL of 25 year old guys.

Thanks, Jimmy! I’m always cautious on the mission kids because a lot can change by that time - from both sides. When you do get one back, you’re getting a guy that’s two years into adulthood. When BYU was actually good they were able to trot out an OL of 25 year old guys.
