Any rumors on Henry, Radley-Hiles or other transfer players?

If the rumors from January are to be believed Puka reached out to Oregon and was told no. Washington fans refused to believe someone would want to leave Captain Jimmy’s sinking dinghy for greener pastures. It’s probably for the best, he’s an exciting player when healthy but he’s a weird kid who wasn’t particularly well liked at UW.

Speaking of UW, they’re expecting a commit from Oklahoma transfer Bookie Radley-Hines. He’s not as bad as Oklahoma fans will lead you to believe, but not as good as UW fans will claim he is. With Oregon’s inexperience at DB he would have been a good addition but not a must get.

As far as other updates: the Ducks offered JTT a basketball scholarship. A meaningless gesture since he would be on a football scholarship and he’s not good enough to play Pac-12 basketball - let alone while playing football. The move makes me think that any steam Oregon had with his recruitment was wearing off and they tried to do this to get some more attention. Maybe I’m completely wrong and they’re showing him the school’s commitment but I didn’t interpret it as a good sign.

Where did you hear they’re expecting bookie? I was hoping we would be able to grab him. Last I saw it was the LA schools and us.

I'd say average in football and basketball is more apt.

Basically he just ran streaks as a WR and was 6'5 and insanely fast. Had he focused on football, he could have been really good but he was incredibly raw as an overall player besides his athletic gifts.

My guess would be because of his current job as head play by play announcers of the Blazers. He's not doing himself any favors replacing Calabro. He sucks. Even I am willing to admit it now. Funny. With Kent's insider knowledge of the Ducks, the Pac-12 broadcasts he did are much much better.

Jordan Kent had not trained as a PxP guy prior to replacing Calabro for The Bubble games and his current broadcast style and background of a Studio Host is what the Blazers want, I guess. Lamar Hurd is a great analyst and the team wants to focus more on that since most Video Productions are slanted that way. Video PxP is very different than Radio PxP and because Jordan has never done Radio and learned to paint that picture for an audience, everything (to me at least) sounds exactly like how a Studio Host sees a game and its highlights. Personally, its not my style or preference but often times media companies don't hire actual PxP guys, they hire someone else they're already paying to talk on camera; Max Kellerman doing anything that isn't boxing comes to mind.

Wheels doesn't broadcast much, if at all anymore, for health reasons. Demers got his start doing road games for a while while Wheels did the home games. If you really want to know you can look it up. I think I mentioned it in an post relevant to him on here in the past.

I like him a lot. He's small, but super active as a S. He was the player behind JTT that I thought would round out this class. (especially if Henry is not an option)
