This. Unless they only lose one more game the rest of the way but that ain’t happening. This was the easiest game left on the schedule.

The guy has shot 38% from the field this season and was hitting everything, including a number of long twos which is what the defense will take every time down. This was a terrible combination of Cal uncharacteristically well and the Ducks being unable to hit the ocean. Best 3 pt shooting team in the conference shot 1 for their first 20. I think they started to press during that 24-0 run and missed shots they would ordinarily hit. Just a fluke of a game.
Or, maybe they’re just a bunch of spoiled brats that don’t care about winning basketball games even though it’s their livelihood. Who’s to say?! Those darn 15 second tiktoks keeping them out of the gym again!
I think Richardson may be one of those most underappreciated Ducks of all time. Every time he has an off shooting night he is labeled mentally weak, even though he’s been one of the best shooters in the conference for 3 years. The guy is afforded absolutely leeway to ever struggle. Obviously not all of this is targeted at your post. Just lumping in all of my general thoughts on the subject.

I’m very ashamed of this performance. They’re playing like a bunch of spoiled brats who care more about posting TikTok videos than playing basketball. I know they’re college students but I can’t fathom playing so unmotivated at this point in the season, gutless performance in the first half with no pride.
lol u know it's tax season when u get posts like these.

Hahaha that made me laugh out loud! Ain’t that the truth! I forgot I mentioned I’m a CPA on this forum.
I’m already crazy as it is during duck game, tax season takes it to a new level.
With that said, notice I said “like”, not that they are. I know they are not spoiled brats and knew that during the game, but I just couldn’t believe the lack of fire and focus we saw today when this team has no room for error.

This is quite possibly the worst loss of the Altman era. In position to solidify an NCAA tourney bid and get absolutely handled by one of the worst Power 5 teams in the country that lost 10 conference games in a row and was without their best player.
What a disappointing result after the run they put together to get back into it. I can’t imagine how Altman and the players must feel right now. Everything they did over the past 11 games just evaporated in one loss.
This loss was so bad that it tanked the NET all they way back to 63. Lunardi doesn’t even have them in the bubble discussion anymore. They are not getting in unless they either win out the regular season or win the conference tournament.

Well they can likely play more games in the NIT as it's all about next year with this team at this point.

It’ll be nearly an entirely different rotation next year again, so more games would provide little benefit. I still think people are overreacting to one stinker of a game. I would still be surprised if they miss the tourney. I understand they’re out of it now, but think they win 2 of 3 against the LA schools and Zona. Wazzu should also help the NET if they win that. I will die on the hill that this team is more talented than possibly any Altman team besides the Final 4 team. It’s just the cohesiveness that’s a constant work in progress. I think they are very capable of going on a run and winning the Pac-12 tournament.

^^ This.
Basketball is a make/miss game. You can be off one night and lose to a really bad team. It happens.
