Right, but if you know you're going to be busy, you should send a list to the commissioner.

It seems strange to not participate and still be rewarded with the best possible pick (not talking about you, just generally speaking). We don't do this for FA, if a GM misses his bids, he misses his bids.

Pick is in. Sorry for delay TWO things I wanted to field offers. My team is in a hard place and I've reached out to a few for advice and was gathering info.

When I used to run drafts, I would typically give BPA if it was super obvious

But otherwise, I’d usually give 3rd best player on the board give or take if a GM didn’t send a list and reached their time limit

Sorry for missing my pick guys. First time I've gone a full 24 hrs without checking in due to an unforseen emergency that also prevented me from any internet Access. Thank you for picking the top guy for me

You missed out on Theo Ratliff as the clear #1 guy!

Seriously? I should've read this before my pick.

It always has been if you get autoed and you get back and the player you wanted is still there you can swap for him. As far as I know that has not changed.

Curious why Joe Smith went 4th, did the CPU pick him or was he considered BPA? Thought Damon/Marshall would be way better

No worries. Hope all is well.

But my point is still one we should discuss. This happens every draft it’s seems.

So far the draft's gone mostly as expected imo.

The only 2 picks that surprised me were Joe Smith at 4 (that might be my Wolves bias though  ) and O'Bannon at 9. I think McDyess is better than Smith, so getting him at 8 is good value. I liked Nuggets grabbing Stackhouse with #3 to secure the perimeter pick as there was a glut of premium forwards available and I'm certain Stackhouse would have gone 4 if he picked, say, Marshall #3.

I was curious if Knicks would pass on Stoudamire having Reeves, but I think he was right to go BPA.

And then getting a regular amazing player at #10 is always a nice haul. Probably would have been my pick had I kept it despite not having any need for big men.
