We just don't have guys that can make shots consistently. Our best players are a very good SG that is forced to play PG; a career 37% volume shooter; and a 5* big man that dominates good teams, but completely disappears against Riverside, Utah Valley, and Stanford.

It is like we recruited an entire team of Jordan Kents, Brandon Lincolns, and CJ Walkers. Those guys were all very athletic, decent on defense, and awesome role players. But if you have 4-5 of them on the floor at the same time, it is going to end badly sometimes, just like on Saturday. This team is very similar to the 2010-2011 Joevon Catron team in offensive output.

Why did we start chasing stars and stop recruiting elite shooters and passers 3 years ago?

I am probably an outlier, but I don't think this team will even make the NIT.

They lost to the (then) worst team in the league. Blows my mind.
