I don't think people realize what just happened. Something was broken. Up to now, there has always been an avenue for every major college team in the country to win a championship. Just win all your games. This committee just blatantly disregarded that today and put their favorite in instead. You can say 'Oh, they had to pick the best four teams'. How the heck do you know who the best four teams are? Until last night, all the talking heads said Georgia was the best team in the country. Then they played a game. That's how you know who the best teams are: the actual games. FSU won all of them. They beat LSU with their fake SEC Heisman winner who never had to beat any hard teams. College football is a scam.

IT’S CALLED FAKE NEWS. EVERY TIME THE MEDIA GETS INVOLVED THE RIGHT THING TO DO GOES OUT THE WINDOW. FSU got fucked. Have to have an ESECPN team in there don’t you know? I’m actually shocked the didn’t put Georgia in there too.

NCAA football selection committee is a joke. Total protection for the SEC. Undefeated champ got passed over TWICE in order to let Bama in. Texas had to come before Bama, but FSU should’ve been in before both. SEC rhetoric used to be “defense wins championships” and would get in with horrible QBs and a lack of offense. Oh but the defense, they would say. FSU’s defense is dirty. They deserve to be in. If that was an SEC team losing their QB but the defense stood up, there’s NO EFFING WAY they would leave them out. Then, to cap it off, they give Oregon a Fiesta Bowl matchup against Liberty, while Missouri (3rd SEC team in the New Years bowls) a matchup with Ohio State. BS. 5v6, then 7v9 skipping over number 8 (Oregon) to give Missouri a more desirable matchup. EFF the SEC and the NCAA.

The Playoff is essentially a B1G vs SEC Semi-Final showdown.

I don't have a problem with how you might seed 1-4, but I do have a problem leaving out an undefeated P5 Champ who played a good OOC.

I think it also means that going forward you aren't likely to ever see the Chris Peterson Boise State's of the world earn a Bye with a protected top 4.

FSU just beat everyone on their schedule and most of them pretty handily. Unreal.

No one is calling for it, but the whole committee needs to be reconstructed and/or removed altogether, or at least there needs to be a criteria established that takes the awful subjectivity out of the hands of the committee members.

There is no justification whatsoever for excluding FSU. It's simply a money decision. No one will watch FSU's game because they will be huge underdogs, and ratings will be down.

The money grubbers had their way. College ball will never be the same. Jerks.

Well, that’s kind of happening with the 12 team, given conference champs get an auto bid. It is a terrible decision, but the the playoff system was always broken. I know they’ll still be around deciding at large teams and seeding, but I’m less concerned with that. Teams that miss the 12 team playoff will have had multiple losses, so it’ll be easy to argue them not making it.

The good news, is 12 team playoff should help a lot with this.

Sure some teams still might not make it that should. But at that point, they should have won more games.

Would have really loved to see an UO vs Bama, but at this stage, the luck of UW this year has been disgusting and I would prefer to see UW get a tougher opponent than FSU in the CFP.

There is only one analyst on that video that has the gall to speak any semblance of truth. The rest are just hacks trying to justify a terrible decision by CFP.

Count how many times they say, "we feel terrible for FSU", and then go on to give a horrible rationale for why they should be excluded. The Boogie guy probably isn't lasting that long on ESPN for speaking truth.
