I totally expected an Alabama three to end the game. What a cliffhanger, and great win by the Ducks. Bittle's follow-slam was amazing. This is a fun team to watch!

Very evenly matched game and both could've played better. Ultimately, Alabama has one way to win the game (3 ball) and Oregon has many. Barthelemy and Bittle are today's heroes.

Smart smart play by Barthelmy to dribble away from the play-design, knowing that he was being guarded by a slower forward.
This team is good.

We have the ability to kick up our defensive intensity to elite levels. That bodes well for big games.

Recorded the game and watched as soon as I got home from the Ducks beating down the Poodles, what a huge win for this team! They are for real this season! Rebounding still needs to get better and Brandon Angel needs to remember he plays for Oregon, not Oregon’s opponent. Huge win!

This was a really fun game to watch as it felt just like an NCAA Tournament game. There's no doubt Oregon deserves to be ranked now. Barthelemy was money all night long off the bench. Nate Bittle has turned into a really consistent force down and that putback dunk to take the lead may be his best career highlight. TJ Bamba is starting to finally find the range and he's also getting to the bucket and FT a lot now. Really looking forward to seeing what this team can do in the Big Ten with the defense they can play.

Hard to see how the Ducks won't be ranked after this weekend given that they're unbeaten, just knocked off two ranked teams + another (SDSU) who had just walloped another ranked team (Creighton) by 18.

Oregon might have the third best resume in the country after Auburn and Kansas, so I don't think being ranked is a question, it's do they deserve top 10 votes or just top 15?

They do deserve Top 10. But since they were unranked, might the voters be hesitant to put them where they should be now?

Voters might also look at what they've done and think that Dana is just ahead of where his teams typically are, too.

Generally a fan over statistical models, KenPom is using a lot of data from last year, which is why you see Alabama and UConn far ahead of Oregon.

Is there a better current statistical model for ranking college basketball teams? This is the best one I know of and I assume it will improve as the season progresses further. I don't know how NET works, but it's got the Ducks at #59 and Creighton at 11 (
