Agree about the 5, even with a loss to State. Izzo-Altman is a good coach match-up.

Would Oregon fare better in seeding consideration with wins by Purdue, and Wisconsin or losses? Trying to figure out who to root for.

5 seeds terrify me. Always a few 5 v 12 upsets.

Would prefer a 3 or 6 to avoid the 1 seed as long as possible.

Great way to start the tournament. Bamba was as locked on both ends as he's been in a long time. Angel gave Oregon a nice lift with Bittle held in check for much of the first half. Shelstad was hot early but disappeared for too long of a stretch. Tracey and Evans provided a lot of hustle and good defense off the bench. They're going to need to do much better with their turnovers if they hope to beat MSU tomorrow.

Yes, Bamba's offensive resurgence was the biggest takeaway from this game. We would've lost this game during the regular season b/c Shelstead/Bittle were up and down.... that's why it's so important to have Bittle be a #3 scoring option.

Our performance as a whole was too inconsistent this game, but we have the tools to make a deep tourney run if we can piece it all together.

I don't watch as much basketball as many of you, but I'm really glad Tracey got an extra year. He seems to make timely hustle plays and 3 pointers. Great 6th man.

I think in both cases, Purdue and Wisky winning make a "better" loss and win.

He's not had a strong shooting season but he can go off in certain games while providing some pesky defense and a lot of position versatility in being able to guard every position but center.
