Bracketology currently has them in Seattle as a 5. I don't think a win guarantees they'll get the 4 seed in Seattle. Could be given to Arizona, as well. It's a crapshoot when it comes to how the committee puts together the brackets.
Sure depends how far Arizona goes in their bracket. But if they lost, they'd have gone 4-7 in their last 11 games. We would have won 9 straight. Oh well, it didn't happen ha.

Hopefully these last two bum games help him get back on track just in time for the NCAA tournament.

Ha I don't care that they are only listed as one inch apart. Shelstad looks 3 inches shorter, and he plays way shorter. His game won't translate.
Shelstad just isn't a PG. Great shooter. But he's stuck in a PG's body when he's not a distributor. The problem is you can't put him at SG because he's far too short.
He's averaged 2.7 and 2.8 apg per season. That's very poor for your starting PG. Pritchard was 3.6, 4.8, 4.6, and 5.5 in his four seasons for us. Pritchard needs to develop a passing game, and be better at driving/dishing. I've see fewer pick and role alley-oops this year then maybe ever.
I’m not trying to say Shelstad WILL be in the NBA, but if he grows/develops his game it’s possible, especially with his elite speed and ball handling. Obviously not as a SG, but as a true PG that can shoot the 3 really well I’m sure he could.

I do think Shelstad is unlikely to make the NBA due to his size, but I think we're comparing senior Pritchard to sophomore Shelstad. I remember a lot of people complaining about Pritchard on here his soph/junior years. He made a huge leap between his junior and senior year. I don't think Pritchard would have gotten drafted after his junior year.
Shelstad has already improved his finishing and range from last year. I would expect him to continue to improve. He'll be a great college player, but as mentioned, there's things out of his control, namely physical limitations that will likely prevent him from an NBA career.

Oregon has been right there with Michigan State in both games this year. Main differences were Michigan State's offensive rebounding and defense, both of which keyed multiple big runs to secure wins when Oregon was leading or within a possession of leading.
Hopefully Oregon is placed somewhere in the West and aren't shipped to the East Coast or South.

A lot of this is true and PP definitely had stretches that he struggled in his SO/JR seasons. The big difference is that when u watched Pritchard play in his SO/JR season, you knew he had the ability to be a star. He would show flashes of taking over the game. He was so inconsistent in his junrio year, but basically took over for our team during the conference/NCAA tournament. I don't see Shelstead being able to do that.
The ceiling are much different, and especially as it pertains to the NBA. I could see Shelstead becoming an all-conference/american-type player but the end of his JR/SR years.

None of the draft gurus thought Pritchard was going to be anything his junior year. I remember them all pumping Nico Mannion as the class of the Pac 12 at point guard. The next year, Pritchard blew up the PAC and was still projected as a 2nd round pick but the Celtics liked him and took him at 26. Nico went mid second round (48) and plays in Italy now.

Obviously the game threads were littered with quite a bit of Pritchard slander, but not going to link all of those. You'll see a number of the same criticisms Shelstad is receiving echoed for Pritchard. This was midway through his junior year. Some funny things to note from it:
1) This team ends up winning the Pac-12 tourney, getting to the Sweet 16 and taking the eventual champs down to the wire. I'm not pointing this out to call anyone out. I wasn't super high on that team's prospects by the midway point of the season either, so it's not intended to be a gotcha moment. Just funny to read the comments, knowing the end result is another Altman masterpiece.
2) People ready to see Richardson take over the point, only for Richardson to be even more criticized later in his career.

Feels like Oregon's PGs always take a lot of heat. I can remember so many times where Garret Sim, Johnny Loyd, Dominic Artis, Casey Benson, Pritchard, and now, Shelstad have taken an outsized brunt of the complaints whenever they've struggled.
