Messiah Hampton looking like the only guy who may commit pretty soon. We're in a good spot with Jett Washington but not sure when he'd decide.

I doubt it’ll happen but if ducks can manage to land Tyler Atkinson that would be huge. From my perspective the two most worrisome positions going forward are Oline and LB.

Not that we had much of a chance, but Atkinson just signed a deal with Adidas so we can kiss that one goodbye.

I wouldn't say that as his final schools (Oregon, Georgia, Texas, and Clemson) are all Nike schools. Adidas has been big on signing HS stars as JRs and SRs across multiple sports to promote their brand even if they don't end up at Adidas schools. For example, they've signed 10+ elite WBB and MBB recruits the past couple years and only like 2-3 committed to an Adidas school.

It is an amazing time to be top HS athletes in cash cow sports.

There’s a difference between a Nike sponsored University and Nike U though, I see what you’re saying, but I have a hard time seeing an Adidas sponsored athlete play for Oregon, would Adidas even allow that? Besides he probably was going to end up at Texas or Georgia regardless.

All the players have basically signed one-year NIL deals to be sponsored by Adidas for their SR seasons (some are in their 2nd year as part of Adidas' NIL push.) Of the 6 players signed, only one is committed to an Adidas school. It's basically free money for HS athletes that has no strings attached to where they have to attend college. I'm sure most athletes would take that deal.

Tristen Keys: LSU
Tyler Atkinson: all Nike schools in his final 5
Chris Henry Jr.: Ohio St.
Kayden Dixon-Wyatt: Ohio St.
Madden Williams: Texas A&M
Calvin Russell: final 5 are LSU, Miami, Oregon, Michigan, and Florida
