Well this is just crazy. Where ever you go there's competition, especially if you're choosing between Oregon, Texas, USC, LSU.
They play different positions and it's been well known that Oregon was trying to flip another WR.

Oregon was always going to need another WR with the losses of Bryant, Benson, and Dickey. Plus there's rumors of Kasper transferring and Dillon Gresham potentially having to medically retire after his neck injury in fall camp.

Maybe you're implying portal guys causing competition. But you don't replace those guys with freshmen.

Oh man, we go from tweets about Oregon getting both guys to 'we didn't want them anyway' posts in a matter of a few hours. Looks like we need to send out the Hines signal...

Throughout the years, whenever this happens we will wake up tomorrow morning to hear he signed with Ohio State anyway. It is what it is, we have a great class signed, and despite the Rose Bowl, I still believe Lanning is the better coach, fact is Day has like five years experience on him, so its going to take some time. I'm good with that.

Hampton, Lewis, and Bair were looked at for replacing the deeper depth chart guys. Lott would be a great Bryant replacement while a portal transfer or CHJ would go towards replacing Benson.

Holy smokes what a delusional fanbase! Their insider basically implied Oregon is cheating and that Ohio State is the victim of the NIL rules and that Ohio State is being the “bigger” party by stepping away from Chris Henry Jr. I can’t believe there are people like that who can make up such crap in their heads and be so arrogant and delusional to spew it for the public to hear. They continue to behave like spoiled arrogant trust fund brats throwing a tantrum over getting a Ferrari rather than a Bugatti for their birthday and wonder why everyone else doesn’t like them.

Back to the topic, hopefully it is true though, cause while we should be more than fine at WR next year with or without him, it’d be nice to get that big WR that can dominate at catching jumpballs and the fade pass. Excited for the future of Oregon football.
