It's insane right? I've never seen this and I am 54 years old. It's like Indiana knows the play call before it's even called and have called the correct defense. How is this even possible? Indiana has apparently been hiding these great coaches for the last 20 years and just decided to throw it all on the line.

There were no really dominant offensive lines in college football this year, while there are a few elite defensive lines. Miami and Indiana are both here in large part because their offensive lines are two of the three best (along with Iowa) in the sport.

This 100%. Oregon had the horses to beat the Indiana defense but Will Stein had other plans.

No natty Mario!

We probably wouldn't have beat that miami team today in their championship home game.

But one of Indiana’s most undisciplined mediocre game of the year, was enough to beat Miami.

The best parts of the game were the tv close ups of Mario’s facial expressions and mario unable to play smash mouth football against a +50lbs lighter Indiana defensive front

I’m very conflicted personally.

On one hand, I’m glad Miami lost, Mario is their coach and Beck is a classless douche. He walked off the field after the game, didn’t even go congratulate Mendoza or anything like that. So that classless program deserves to lose.

On the other hand, I’m aware Indiana is a cooler story, but I despise that program purely out of jealousy. They are the most losing program in college football, and year 2 of being relevant they suddenly win a natty? We’ve been trying for years, keep having horrible luck get in our way, but it takes only 2 years of being relevant for Indiana to win one. It ain’t right. Being a duck fan is just painful.

The cure for that is an uptempo (maybe not blur but close) offense like Ol’miss, and/or wait until the play clock gets to under 15 sec. before shifting into the formation you want to run your play from. Some keys to doing it are having an experienced QB who can read a defense correctly along with knowing the playbook well enough to get out of bad plays, and get your skill players aligned correctly all within 15 seconds and not drawing a false start or illegal procedure penalty. I know easier said than done but possible. I didn’t watch a lot of Indiana this year, what I did see no one did this consistently.

Sometimes, Just Sometimes, You Need To Consider Quick Short Pass Plays, To Open Up The Run Game. And Then Throw In A Few Downfield Passes...Its Called, Keeping The Defense Honest...

Sometimes, Just Sometimes, You Need To Consider Quick Short Pass Plays, To Open Up The Run Game. And Then Throw In A Few Downfield Passes...Its Called, Keeping The Defense Honest...

By quick short passes you mean screens right?
