A tale as old as time. I know featherston threw a little bit yesterday, but I’m not sure why we don’t put him or another one of the more proven pitchers we have in that position to close the game out.greenyellow wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 3:46 pm Bullpen is blowing it in the 8th as they've given up 5 runs on an RBI single and three RBI bases loaded walks/HBPs.

Oregon drops their first game of the year after the bullpen gave up 5 runs in the 8th inning.

I don’t watch a ton of college baseball, how normal is it to see quality team with a bullpen that has a tendency to absolutely throw games? I’m holding out hope that this year will be better, but it’s weird that so many times we see a bullpen where nobody has control over the ball and they’re literally throwing games.

Ducks were setup to be 10-0 to start the season.
Oh well. Hopefully we can beat Vandy tomorrow.

4-0 Oregon after Burke-Lee Mabeus hits Oregon's 2nd HR of the day.

Hellman and Miranda go back-to-back and it's 6-0 Oregon through 6 innings.

Another rough 8th inning for Oregon's bullpen.

Oregon holds on for the 6-4 win over Vanderbilt. Bullpen still needs a lot of work. Ducks finish the weekend 2-1. Up next is a Tuesday home game against the Beavers.

Glad we won’t despite bullpens best efforts to blow it.
It’s crazy wins against Vandy and Arizona don’t mean nearly as much as they would almost any other time in recent history.
I’ll take the 2-1, but getting that Irvine win woulda been nice on the resume.
Hopefully we can beat the beavers next week.

Looks like Oregon won the tourney based on run differential.

It was a 3-way tie between Oregon, Arizona, and UC-Irvine but what did the Anteaters in was them losing 7-1 to Arizona.HomeSickDuck wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 6:39 pm Looks like Oregon won the tourney based on run differential.
