Ducks going green and black heavy against the red of Nebraska, similar to what they wore last year against Indiana. Hopefully it's not another loss as it's such a good combo.

So here's my question and voice texting so there might be typos. But what does it mean that Dan lanning is getting involved in the offense and that the operation is going to look different? That is his quote about the operation looking different. There's no Dante Moore so I doubt we're going to be chucking it all over the field. Our o-line is in shambles so it's hard to imagine us turning to a power running game or some kind of ball control offense. And I'm not sure these guys have the reps in practice to suddenly start doing read option and having the quarterback run. Maybe someone else would know the answer to that better than I do. So I wonder what kind of differences we're going to see and I wonder if maybe he's talking about a big change of quarterback. Is there any chance he's opening this up? Not just to Brock Thomas but maybe even guys like Smith Jr? Maybe getting some different running backs into the mix, or some underclassmen who haven't played much? I'm not really sure how this group can look different other than just trying out different personnel groups. Curious to hear what others think and of course to see what it looks like on Saturday.

I don't know what Lanning plans to do, but if Raiola starts and looks anything like he did vs UCLA against his old team, the media will be merciless. I hate to think Dylan might be regretting the move to Oregon.

Not going to lie, so disappointed in Dante. With the season on the line, he is going to sit and watch. I'm guessing, give it two weeks and 6 kids will be talking about the transfer portal.

The Oregon football practice experience, where you won’t develop but you might get injured.

Not awesome on Dante, but I don't believe in this Nebraska team. I think we roll them

You have no idea what kind of condition he's in or if he's still suffering side effects from the concussion. I don't think there is any reason to be disappointed in him. Head injuries are nothing to mess with. They can be life impacting if not handled properly. I think jumping to the idea that is sitting out on his own accord is silly.

Agreed. Also I think most fans wouldn't expect him until the Northwestern game anyway.

A kid died 2 weeks ago in Oregon from a head injury playing football. Head injuries are nothing to mess with.

My approach for the rest of the season will be to focus on and enjoy this defense. I think it has some players on it that we’ll look back on as some of the best to ever play defense here, and I refuse to let the failures of the offense to ruin that for me.
If the defense plays well I’ll be happy. And if they do, the offense really doesn’t have to do much to get wins.

Look like Brock Thomas will be the starter against Nebraska. Probably the smart move given how Raiola would be even more in his head against his former team.

Can we trade Raiola for an OT or is CFB not doing that yet?

I’m a bit conflicted… Brock seems like a good kid and could do a decent job today, but not much of a ceiling. I’d lean towards taking a flyer and play Akili. I’m sure he has some warts or he’d be the man. But he is athletically superior in every way. Given this season, why not take a gamble on an athletic 6’5” QB with an arm. I’ve seen surprises in the past when a kid gets a chance. In the spring game, he showed he could run. That dynamic might be just what this offense needs. Not a ton to lose this year. A good time to roll the dice.
