The latest on this is "sources say" it is between us and Clemson with tOSU out. the deal breaker is Mom is afraid of the distance.

if he does go to Clemson I will be amazed that they were able to come in last minute, have him say the visit was an 8/10 and then get him to commit.

It appears that I'm the only person who doesn't have a direct source to Mr. Boyd.

Form all the "insiders" this thing is basically coming down to Tajh wants to come here and Mom is being, well, a Mom and wanting "her Baby" to stay close to home. So cross your fingers and hope she puts her sons interests ahead of her own.

I had heard on here a few weeks back that the whole family was considering a move to whereever he chose to go. Is the cost of a move a sticky point for the parents?

It ain't cheap to move cross country. I know...from experience!

It appears I now have a source. It will be in this order, Oregon (commit), Clemson (second), tOSU (third). My bag of Skittles...I mean my source, first gave me candies colored in the following order: Yellow, Green, Yellow, Green, Orange, Purple, Red.

There you go. :D

This may be even more reliable than my source (which I cannot reveal at this time). 8-)

Moving seems like a huge stretch. Sunday it was reported that unemployment in Oregon is 9.1%. Earlier today I spoke with a colleague, architect, in Portland. He is in a national firm and believes it will reach 12-14% by the end of the year.

If in fact the family in weighing all the issues employment opportunites and cost of living may be important factor. The best situation is the closet school thus reducing travel expenses and allowing the family to remain in their current home / jobs.

If they've done their research and aren't financially independent...Clemson.

Of coarse this is just one more meaningless post since it will all be history in 3 hours.

I just played Boyd's little brother on Xbox live and it's official we are in. Also this very moment Tajh is playing guitar hero and later he's going to eat tacos and rice for dinner. Might work in a little "me" time and go for a walk. I'll keep you posted I'm sure as he won't be going to bed until around 9 or 10 tonight.

Not trying to be a NegaDuck guys, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. That article I read on Rivals of his pro's and con's clearly stated that he wants to be somewhere where they are in the national spotlight every year with a chance at a national championship and also that he thinks he can beat out Terrell Pryor.

He said that Chip Kelly is a genius in the spread, but he's concerned about the distance and also about how spread QB's perform at the next level. He mentioned one QB by name that had an awful game this weekend. His Dad also seems to have turned against us because of the distance and moving expense.

He mentioned how cool the Clemson coaches are, but he made it clear that he's not comfortable with the fact that they're new on the job.

I'm telling you guys, if I had to bet money, based on that article I'd lay it all on Ohio State, hands down.

I totally hope I'm wrong, but that's the way it reads to me. I wish I could copy it so everyone can see, but I can't.
