Guys really? Do you think D1 is pitching him to us so that the coaches will read about him? Seriously?
He's relaying info, he sees something he likes in Harris. I watched video and the kid is strong/fast and gets to the second level easily. Needs to work on breaking tackles better. BUT, hes just relaying info, try to be a little more open minded.
And also the OL that Miami got in the thread title is 6'6" 315 lbs. and rumored to bench press 400lbs already. Miami getting more OL is not good news for us. Lots of people feel he is an under-rated 3*.
And IF BB likes Whipple, that is also not good news.

Jhop, how long have you been on the other boards as a member? Must not be too long on DSA or eDuck if you don't know his deal, because this guy has been pimping Harris for many months, while always looking for angles on why other backs aren't going to Oregon, or shouldn't choose us, and why we should take Harris. There is a connection or an angle in some way totally. And if not, then he is a stalker and I fear for Harris's safety.

Thats fine if he has been pimping him to the other sites and this one too. What does it hurt? The coaches don't read this or any board likely and if they do they aren't fishing for recruits. Let him bring him up, we all bring up recruits all of the time we like.

As far as D1 pimping Harris, I don't think its a problem for a fan (or whatever) Loving a player (this much...arms stretched) but D1 has mentioned waaayyy to much and that is funny/disturbing part! But we only have to deal with Mr Harris (err D1) for another 9 days!

Well I don't know that a 3star OT is going to make the difference in his recruitment. It's a nice addition, but does it really put him over the top? The offers he was choosing from weren't that impressive other than West Va. He may be underrated, but the same has been said about Burrell and Benyard, so the same case could be stated for Oregon. Regardless, I've always had the feeling that he will likely end up with Miami. I just don't think this will be a deciding factor one way or another.

All I have to say is TRACK RECORD, UM has proven they can't run the ball with all their current studs on the O-Line and we can with all of our studs...there is no comparison! BB knows this he is just hoping for a miracle!

Go look at our O line that we have been accumulating the last few years. They are top of the line talent. We also have the best O line coach, rushing offense, and offensive mind in the country on our side. Our depth at RB is low. Chris Harper is a good friend who has been here for a year now. The only reason he would go UM is family. That is a big one, but is it big enough for an athlete like him to throw away a great college career? ? I hope not! !

Throwing away a great college career might be a little harsh. Granted "The U" has been down the past several years, but they've got the history, the recruiting base and a tremendous class coming in, plus his brother is there and Miami has a history of putting players into the league.

I still think he should be a Duck, but I can see why he would stay with the 'canes as well

In my opinion, he's all Miami unless they make really dumb (in BB's opinion) coaching staff choices. As long as he's good with them, he's probably a lock to go there.

I guess we'll have to live with the status quo!!! (Kickin' ass with who we got)!

One thing to remember, Harper will be moved to RB if BB doesn't come. I personally love that idea & think Harper will be an amazing RB for us. Part of me doesn't want BB to come just so we can have Harper at RB instead of WR

That's what Mops had been saying. I don't know if they would move him full time to RB, I think he will be used all over the field, but I bet if we miss on BB he sees a lot more time at RB.

MB said it an interview a while back!

Even if Harper is moved to rb, we still need someone like Blount in 2010.
