Wow, Jacob and Armstead. A pac 10 sweep? When is the last time Oregon did that?
I still cannot figure this team out.

Re: USC @ Oregon (3:00 SAT)
I think that playing a zone defense has really changed things up. It's slowed them up on defense and on offense. They seem to be controlling the clock on the offensive side of things by taking most of the clock before they shoot it. One thing that they need to fix is to limit their turnovers. They seem to want to try and throw the ball across the court which is impossible if you don't put a little zip on it. I really like how they've gone to Jacobs more down low. It actually makes the defense defend on the inside which really opens up the outside.

It seems as if they figured out how to play now at the Pac-10 level. They look like they are just playing and not thinking so much.UOducksTK1 wrote:Jacob and Armstead were fantastic.

Bottom line: When Armstead does well, the team does well, and when Porter isn't throwing up 20 shots, the ducks are in better shape. Maybe they have finally figured out a good starting lineup. Not playing awful defense also helps.

Its nice seeing Teondre and Humphrey out there contributing positive minutes as well. Seems to take a lot of the scoring pressure off of Porter and doesn't make him think he has to cast long shots. I don't want to get my hopes up but this team may have turned a corner her.e

My new starting lineup:
Armstead
Humphrey
Dunigan
Jacob
Wilson
Doesn't matter to me that it is young. For the most part, the veterans have disappointed anyway.

With both teams zoning each other to death, there's a good chance next week's CW ends 35-33 or something ungodly like that.
If Armstead can work on the lazy passes, he'll be a treat to watch the next couple of years. That's really my only complaint today, so that's a win all around.

We'd be so good if that lineup was on the floor for most of the gameduckgrad99 wrote:My new starting lineup:

As for the last home Pac-10 sweep, we swept the Arizona and Bay Area schools at Mac in Leunen/Malik's senior year.

I guess we could finish 9-9 in conference and 17-13 overall before the pac-10 tournament and get an NIT bid. Would that save Kent's job?
