That is how I look at it. We still have hope but it's been miss after miss after miss lately so I understand why many others and myself are quite pessimistic right now.
If we get one of Brown, Jackson, or Gaines we will have a good class, but if we don't get any we will have "really, really, bombed"? Is the logic meter broken?

All three would make this a very solid class. Two of three would make it ho-hum. One of three would be disappointing. Zero would make this class an epic fail tantamount to the early 2000 classes that ended up yielding some truly mediocre Oregon teams.

That's the reality I see.

Besides White and O.O., Mops talked about 3 others: WR/DB Keaton Lowe from Jesuit, LB Kelvin Cain from Grant HS in Portland, and RB/WR Anthony Lacoste from West Albany High School.

So TK1, mops, is there a way someone could cut and paste the nights transcript into a special chat thread for those of us with families or work and can't make it to chat?

I wasn't at the chat, but I guess for the future we could do that.

Cute! How about if he's hurdling the defense, he replaces Blount, and if he's bowling him over, he replaces Massoli?

I'm guessing we get Jackson and Gaines. That would finally put an end to missing out on all the 4 or 5* WR's the last 2-3 years/

C.Harper (4 Star Ath) and Dion Jordan (4 Star TE/WR) are receivers from last year's class.

So I don't know where this comment comes from...

Historicaly we never get any high rated WR prospects. Those two guys you mentioned came in as a QB & TE, then were moved to WR by the coaches.

Drew Davis ('07) = 4*

Terrence Scott ('07) = 4*

James Finely ('05) = 4*

Cameron Colvin ('04) = 5*

And we had Derrick Jones and Jamere Holland (4* WR Transfer from USC) from '06.

It's not like we aren't getting high caliber guys.

During D.Jordan's recruitment, he was highly regarded as a flex between TE/WR.

Cameron Colvin, Keenan Howry, Keith Allen, Samie Parker, Drew Davis, Terence Scott, James Finley, Kellen Taylor, Lacorey Collins, Jaison Williams, Derrick Jones....

Also, Dion Jordan was recruited to be a WR, so yes, he came in as a WR.

You said:
"Couldn't agree more! I come on "The War Room" to read about & discuss recruiting. Not read some 40 year old baby whine about how our coaches suck at recruiting & don't know what they're doing."

I said:
"What if I turned it around and said "I come to this board to read intelligent football discussion. Not read some 15 year old who gets his facts wrong, asks dumb questions, and makes silly, baseless predictions."

Remember?
