This looks like a good recruiting class, but, they really really need a RB or two. Unless Harper switches then they could be ok until next year. But with the rumors of him leaving etc. They could be in the same shape they were in after O. Smith moved on.

I think Gaines is ours.....and hopefully Diante's mom can pull a Boyd for us.

IMO we've got plenty of depth at most of the offensive positions, it would be nice to add a WR or two and a RB, but there are so many playmakers on that side of the ball that we should be fine. It's about time we put together a recruiting class where most of the focus was on stopping the other team which has long been our weak spot.

I hadn't really thought of it that way but now that you say it, I totally agree. We have tons of young talent on O & it would be good to add a WR or two & a RB. Lately the weakness of this team has always been our D & it's nice to see us making a focused effort to change that. Bryce Brown would still be nice

We could definitely use a few more wide receivers in this class. As it is, our receivers struggled last season and we are losing 2 of our top 3 receivers. Someone like Embry, Cantu, Davis, etc is really going to have to step up.

I would say that we only lose one starting WR, Scott. JWill got his spot back only because of DDavis tearing his ACL. So we could say we have two starting WR returning, in Maehl & Davis.

Yeah but there's no way we replace JWill's downfield blocking...His block on Dickson's td in the civil war was amazing and then the two pancake blocks on JJ's td run in the Holiday Bowl was ridiculous!!

This will end up being a decent class, not bad not not great. However, next year should be a huge class, probably a top 10! We are getting on guys really early and already have 2 4* commits! I am looking forward to this one being done and moving on to next year!!!!

A positive recruiting post?! Hallelujah!

I hope the coaches don't get a bunch of unrated guys just to "fill" the class. Lets get the guys we need & save room for what looks to be the best recruiting years ever. Tons of in state talent, top propects having the Ducks as their top 1 or 2 teams & already two 4* commits are things we've never had all at once & will add up to the best recruiting year we've ever had.

It's easy to get excited about recruiting for 2010, but let's remember guys, showing interest doesn't mean that these players will be Oregon commits.

That's the difference with the '10 class, two of them already are. Things are definitely going different when you get an athlete like Ethan Grant to leave Florida & come out here to play.

Please don't say we can't count him as a commit till he's signed his LOI, I'm trying to be as positive as I can & you are undoing all of it.

Half the battle is getting these guys to visit. If they do that, I like our chances on several of them. Grant is a great start, but I have high expecations after the somewhat disappointing recruiting season this time around.
