There was a tweet on Mops page on a quote from Altman. Wiley and Humphrey are gone, Crittle might stay. I hope he does stay. It never hurts to have another physical big man that can rebound.

I strongly disagree with the "we don't want 'em if they don't want to be here" rally cry here. We as fans can sit through 2-3 years of rebuilding, but it's incredibly unfair to expect the same from a player. 2 years is half of a career for a player. Humphrey's sat through two years of crap with no guarantee of playing time or success in the immediate future; I don't blame him one bit for exploring his options. If he chooses to stay, he obviously wants to be here, and he should be welcomed back with open arms.

That said, the Oregonian just said that Humphrey is definitely gone, but Crittle is still open to returning. So cut and paste the above paragraph and put Crittle's name in there. Crittle didn't regress last year, either. He didn't play.

He seemed to be in Kent's doghouse all year, which probably made him want to transfer. Crittle may see another chance to play here at Oregon under Altman since his system may need him more than Kent's.

I've always really liked Crittle so I definitely hope he stays. He's got a lot of talent IMO & if used right could be really good. If Altman can get him & Dunigan on track, along with Jacobs continuing to play good, we could have a very good low post game.

both crittle and humphey will not get offers from higher profile teams than the Ducks. If they want to go div 2 let them go if they want to go to a lesser mid major let them go. Neither played well enough to get a high major scholly. If Dana wants them, ie. he can't get someone to help more next year then he should seek them out. And rerecruit them to u of o. If he has better prospects, I trust his judgement. We want players who want to be Ducks. Drew Wiley while once showing some potential and being a Oregon kid, was a no brainer to be replaced by Loyd. Lets hope for Polee and the chance that Jones will listen to Dana.

From what I understand Altman's system to be, I think Humphrey would fit it better than Crittle, who isn't exactly the first player that comes to mind when it comes to a pressing defense and a high post offense. Of course, Altman is also willing to tailor his system to whatever players he has on hand.

I think Crittle provides more depth in the post, which is what this team is sorely missing. We have enough wings, even though they aren't necessarily the best 3-point shooters, but they are good defenders.

Crittle is realizing that no other team in the country wants to offer him a scholarship. No other team worth a damn that is. I hope Altman tells him to pack his bags.

This is dumb.

Crittle was solid as a FR, why would you tell him to pack his bags? The more quality depth at the 4 and 5, the better.

If you have Singler, Dunnigan, Jacobs and Crittle and then maybe ad Polee(who can play 3 or 4) and Nared (a 3-4) that gives us the most depth in our front court in years. I'm expecting a big year from Singler, he seems like the perfect fit for Altmans scheme.

I was expecting a big year from EJ, regardless of who his coach was. But you're right, he does seem like a perfect fit with Altman.
