Re: I Deleted My Post
Sorry to hear that there was pressure put on you, but I understand that keeping a relationship with the guys running the other boards is important. Do what you can, and if you get away with most of it your doin' ok.

Re: I Deleted My Post
The post ended up on Rivals and Scout in minutes. I was partly to blame for Rivals but it my post was about Mops' feeling on our chances with Jackson. As I viewed his insight to be one of the foremost. However the post evolved quickly to be about the message board part of the decision and was taken out of context along the way.
Hopefully we can just avoid those complications in the future.

Personally I feel that NO ONE should delete any posts unless they are inappropriate, personal attacks, invasion of privacy, or premium content. I feel people should own up to what was said regardless of damage done to this boards reputation or personal images of certain posters or even mods. No one should be above the truth... instead of deleting just correct what was said. deleting to try and hide something is wrong in my mind.

Mops isn't hiding anything. Simply what was said caused a stir and was taken out of context. NOT his fault.
Lastly for one of the guys solely responsible for this boards existence, he gets (and should) to do whatever he feels is best for this board.

Well the board is only as good as the community and its leaders. Sorry my friend but there needs to be humility. deleting something for other than the reasons I stated above is simply a reputation thing and that is wrong.

I personally post a lot of stuff on here, but when I am dead wrong, I have no problem removing the offending piece and posting an apology.Diehardduckfan wrote:Personally I feel that NO ONE should delete any posts unless they are inappropriate, personal attacks, invasion of privacy, or premium content. I there is something wrong with that, you grew up in a different jouranalistic background than I did.
I guess we could a post unfounded lies and innuendo willy-nilly, like some news agencies I can think of, then try to bluster through the aftermath...
